Nice work, Kojak. I had this one too. Do you like side or total better tomorrow. Worried about large line move on side. Have you seen Oak play? I know they played a tough non-conf schedule, but that alone is not reason to back them. What are their main advantages here. I know their 6-7 guard is a stud.

whormoan,

I like the side better but I will say the experts don't make a opening line on a game at 10 on a 12-18 basketball team for no reason. Anyone that plays Alabama A&M tomorrow is getting sucked in. Oakland was actually a better team last year but underachieved. They had a tough non conference and blended some new players into their rotation so it took some time for this team to come together. They are lucky to be in the tournament but I will say that they are double digits better than A&M who don't belong imo. I may 2 team parlay side and total in this one. Best of luck and congrats on winning pick!

Thanks Kojak, hope you don't mind me taking up space in your thread.

Any opinion on VT-Temple tomorrow:

I like VT a lot. They only lost 1 ACC home game all yr and should be excited to be in post-season play, a rarity there. Temple lost on road to some weak teams this yr (R.I. Fordham). Surprised if this line doesn't close 6-7. Any thoughts?

I lean to Va Tech but remember how well Temple played on the road at Duke, Maryland, Wake? Temple has played the schedule where they won't be intimidated. Yes Hokies have played well at home but don't know how they will adjust to matchup zone from Temple. Temple could be playing for Chaneys job due to firing or retirement so they could be inspired. To me to many intangibles to play this one.

Just read your post in Roxy's thread. You are right on there. As late as last night DePaul's coach AND players were whinning about not being in the NCAA. If you handicap this one on a simple basis of "want to". Mizzou is the play. Ofcourse they still can't shoot. But I'm finally coming to the realization that they are a young team which has been Quinn's excuse all year. They are finally starting to listen to him and they have been playing great D for the last half of the season. If DePaul plays man defense, Mizzou will win easily. If they come out in a zone and stay there it will depend on how well Mizzou can get the ball inside to Kleiza and shoot the 3. Good luck, I'm with you on the Tigers.

Mizzou,

You are right about Mizzou shooting woes but I think they are improving. Last 3 games have scored over 70 which is big news. Shot selection is improving as well as team making the extra pass. Mizzou wins by 8-10 points and makes a deep run in the NIT. Best of luck.

Ace,

Originally from ST. Louis and spend a lot of time back in Missouri in both STL and KC. Good to have a growing list of Missourians. Best of luck.
