Record now at 11-13 though starting to heat up for start of the real games. Here are my week 5 preseason plays...
New Orleans +6 @ Oakland....Oakland has yet to win a preseason game and line jumped from opening at 4.5 to 6 because of hurricane Katrina though Saints were in California holding practice? Six is way too many for a last week preseason game imo and will gladly accept the value on this one.
Miami -3 even vs Atlanta....Atlanta has more to lose in this game which means nearly all starters will hardly play or not play at all. Miami still looking for some continuity with the new coaching staff and will be looking to add to their confidence with another win leading into the season.
Buffalo/Detroit under 37....Lions have scored like 29 points in the entire preseason while Bills may have one of the top 3 defenses in nfl. Throw in fact both teams will be resting starters adds up to a very low scoring game.
Cincinnati -3 even vs Indianapolis...Colts will be resting everyone which means the donut in the win column in the preseason. Cincy still trying to fix defensive issues and getting Pollack and Thurman playing new positions initiated into defense so may get a few more snaps than normal but Colts heads are already on Week 1 in Baltimore.
Arizona -3-20 vs Denver...Shanahan has already claimed he will be resting starters for entire game and really believe undefeated preseason would mean more to Green and Cards than it does to Broncos. Cards will play harder and to win more here with the young team than Broncos who could also go undefeated.
Minnesota/Seattle over 42.5...Seattle especially looking to get bugs out of the offense so expect this to be one of the few games in Week 5 where offense will be at the forefront. Should be one of the better games to watch with both teams offenses.
