Well guys we had a nice weekend lw in cfb and hoping to build on it this week. Here are my early plays:
Tuesday 10/4
Troy State +2.5 @ North Texas (2 units)....North Texas has owned this conference for a long time as evidenced by their conference winning streak. I believe this is the game they finally go down. Troy State is the up and comer and will end the streak on Tuesday.
Wednesday 10/5
Northern Illinois -3 vs Miami, Ohio (5 units)....Huskies have been road warriors most of the season but Dekalb will be pumped and ready for Redhawks. Expect a double digit victory in this one for Huskies.
Thursday 10/6
North Carolina State +4 @ Georgia Tech(2 units)....The Yellow Jackets have lost their early season momentum and feel Wolves will be a little testy after losing rivalry game to Tarheels. This will be a defensive game with the difference being NC State special teams.
Friday 10/7
Connecticut -5.5 vs Syracuse (10 units)...Orange are not very good on the road or on the offensive side of the ball. Huskies are well balance and may end up getting surprise BCS bid from Big East. Expect a blowout in this one.
Saturday 10/8
Northwestern +7 vs Wisconsin (5 units)....Basanez will be able to exploit Wisky secondary. Wildcats are a solid team at home receiving points and throw in fact Wisky has struggled in recent years at Evanston means Cats are live in this one.
Boston College -7 vs Virginia (3 units)....BC has too much for Cavs on both sides of the ball. Better coach, better balance, and home field allow easier than expected win.
Oklahoma +14 vs Texas (10 units)....Expecting Longhorns to blowout Sooners is asking too much as winning will be hard enough in this one. Young was turnover prone at Missouri in 1st half and OU defense is still very solid and will force more. Bhomar is coming along and even if Peterson does not play, Kiwane is more than able to fill in. I predict Longhorns win but only by a field goal.
TCU +6 @ Wyoming (5 units)....Frogs are in drivers seat vs hot Cowboys team. This will be a back and forth game that will be decided by 3 pts or less. I like the better defense of the the Frogs to keep it under the number and possibly win su in this one.
Tennessee -3 vs Georgia (5 units).....Georgia still has not proved anything to me. Bulldogs have had a lot of success vs Vols but feel Vols are nicely rounding into shape. I know they play down to opponents (UAB,Ole MIss) but feel they will will be up for this one with Alabama looming. Vols roll in Knoxville.
Central Florida +4 vs Memphis (5 units)....Leary has this program turned around as they will beat a banged up Memphis team su in this one. I expect is to be a lot easier than many expect.
Nebraska +4.5 vs Texas Tech (10 units)....This may once again be one of my top plays of the week. Huskers are looking for major payback as TT pounded them ly in Lubbock. Huskers Taylor improving at qb and Cory Ross starting to become impact player on offense. TT is not as good offensively despite early season numbers and will be exposed in this one. Nebraska will win su big in this one.
Penn State +3.5 vs Ohio State (10 units).....This is not a knock on Buckeyes but an approval of jopa team. This will be hotly contested but love Lions here in Buckeyes first road game of the season. Penn State wins a close one!
