11% of the season has been played. In football terms, they haven't even quite finished the second game. Settle down.

Cards have gone an MLB RECORD, 32 games, without losing ground to the 2nd place team (the scrubs). Remarkable.

Not a bad April prediction, if i do say so myself.

After a 2-run 9th inning HR off Trevor Hoffman, the MLB streak goes to 33 games

You were certainly right about this one. They have been just untouchable the last couple months. I gotta make them faves to win the NL at least.

MLB streak of 35 games without losing a game in the standings comes to an end on a 1-0 loss. Next closest streak all time was 26. Probably hold that one for many decades to come!

Nice division they have...My only hope for next year is for Milton Bradley to sign with the Cardinals...

NL East is way tougher than the Central...

Viking611....get ready for a Penn State thrashing...

Colorado Rockies now 5-0 against the Cardinals this year....and they could meet up in the playoffs this year...

Rockies have owned the Cards the past few years...

Can't wait until the Cards get eliminated. That will be a sweet day.

Can't believe you just said the Cardinal lineup is better than the Phillies....

I hope they meet in the NL finals....
I'm hoping they will as well.

Cards had two missing ingridents before the deadline, one was to bolster both the starting and relief corps, the other was to get Pujols some protection.
They got the latter big time with Holliday, that is enough to salt away the central division, but the Phils acquistion of Cliff Lee makes them the front runners to represent the NL in the fall classic.
Phils can mash with the Cards, if not better than the Cards and have better front line pitching.
Pinnacle favors the Cardinals.

Cardinals +193
Phillies +202
Dodgers +279
Rockies +498

Got the champagne on ice. Nice effort Cardinals.

Maybe you can get a defensive OF in there next year, like a Milton Bradley.

Maybe it's the curse of Mark DeRosa. He's lost 8 straight games (5 vs. Dodgers) and 5 straight series in the playoffs. :smoking:

Don't forget it was the first time this season that the Cards got swept with Carpenter and Wainwright. Time to waive the white flag, but don't tell Wainwright, thats why they lost.
