First of all let me say that I am saddened that the world is filled with people as low as yourself. Subsequent to reading your post bashing rio and saying that the contests are impossible to hit, I was absolulely floored.
Let me first say that categorically, you are probably the biggest imbecile that posts here. For you to say that our contests are "Impossible" you are correlating them to a scam of some sort. Let me see, we have given away over $2,000 in "free" money in this scam. Not only have we given away over $2,000.00 in free money, but we have given people free shots at 10k plus on a daily basis. Let me clarify, this is a "free" shot. For you to actually participate in these contests, and have these FREE shots at money, and then come on and bitch about how arduous they are, you illustrate the characteristics of someone with Zero appreciation and zero gratitude.
My father once told me that the worst flaw one can have is a lack of gratitude and appreciation. He also said that if you lack gratitude, bad karma will follow you everywhere.
Perhaps you are bitter that your handicapping apptitude is so non-existent that you haven't come close to winning. Perhaps you are just bitter about your life. Bottom line, we have been irrefutably the most generous sportsbook (in termsof give aways)by a mile in these forums. We have given away since our inception in 1997 over 100k in free give aways. If you dispute this, just ask the Shrink. I will not waste any more time on this topic. I will close this by merely saying that these contests were created to have a little fun, give away some free money, and give the small player a shot at some HUGE money. We did not create these contests for people like yourself who take (you played in almost every one) and not only do not show appreciation, but do the opposite and bash. Consequently, you will not be eligible for any rio/Skybook contests in the future. You say they are impossible? LOL. Just wait and see what we have in store in the future. Our give aways have just begun. Kiss 1, too bad you will not be in. For all of you good guys, keep an eye out for HUge things to come, and as always they will be totally FREE.

Great contests you offer Rio. I love playing at Skybook and love the free contests.

The opinion of Kiss1 is no doubt rare. I am just thankful for the opportunity to have fun and possibly win free money.

Again, great contests Rio.

I have known the RIO SHILL personally since 1997...

He is one of the real gems in what is perceived by many to be a slimy industry...

Kiss1,

Your behavior in this forum and some of the posts u make ruins things for the little people who enjoy these type of promotions, regardless of what you may think...

The fact that over 100 posters or more usually enter these contests tells me that they appreciate what RIO and SKYBOOK are doing!

I pitty punks such as yourself who have nothing better to do than degrade others..

I agree with you Rio Shill. Rio/Sky is one of the most generous books out there in this way. In fact I will always be grateful for the the 2002 NCAAB tourney contest that Skybook sponsored over at another site that I will not mention in which I took home a cool 2K. It was much much needed at that time.

And the contests are certainly not impossible to hit. Predicting the exact final score is not impossible at all. I'm gonna nail one of these...maybe tonight.

quote "i pity punks such as yourself....."

a little harsh arent we????

it seems he questioned Fishead's shilling of the book....and wasnt impressed by the contest....but unless i missed a thread where he flamed Rio and made untrue accusations......

he doesnt deserve to be thrashed by a Rio-rep and the head-guy......

a person has the right to voice his opinion of a sportsbook, be it good or bad....its just his opinion.....

some people say if you dont like a particular book, dont post your gripes, just play somewhere else...

i dont agree....if it happens to be an important issue...other people AND the book in question need to know.......

RIO SHILL........calling posters imbeciles (even if they are) doesnt make you look very professional....imo

SHRINK.......calling posters "punks"....isnt any better......

i agree dime. the guy is just posting his opinion. since when is that prohibited?

rioshill - in my opinion, it is GREAT that you provide the excitement, but the reality is no one has any chance in hell of hitting the 10k price, or 1k prize, for that matter. i do give you PROPS for offering the $100.00 prizes!!! those are very winnable and it is extremely generous of you!!!

but let's call a spade a spade here, mr. rio. the 10k prizes are IMPOSSIBLE to hit (although i will continue to enter them and try when i have time)

It's sad that a poster can't have an opinion or speak his mind on a forum.

I guess as long as I'm praising the books that advertize here "it's all good."

The thing with me and fishfry is just some friendly ribbing.

Shrink ...

Punk ?

Call this fifty year old one at the Nugget this summer.

I'm looking forward to meeting with you face to face.

FWIW,

I have never said a negative thing about Rio or Skybook in this Forum. I did whine when Rio slow paid me last year. Rio and Skybook are in business to make money. They sponsor these contests to try and get you to give them a try and make a deposit at thier books. They are hoping you lose your money so the owners can get rich. To publically bash a forum member for whatever reason is LOW CLASS.

Sure the free contests are fun and I enjoy playing in them but look at all the free publicity they get from them. The two contests they have going now are damn near impossible to win.

Who is kidding who here ? If I owned a book I'd hire Forum mods to promote my contests and sing my praises .... Guys like fish do it for free and guys like Shrink get rich from it.

- K1

So you are saying that the 1k prize for predicting the final score is impossible identity. Well, if it is so impossible, let's place a friendly wager. I will bet you that by the end of the playoffs at least one person guesses the final score and wins the 1000 or 1200 dollar prize. You are a betting man correct? Well why dont we place a friendly wager of say $1,000.00 that someone does guess the final score right. I will lay 2-1 odds. You win 2k or lose 1k. What do you say Identity?

This got way out of hand for nothing. You know what, I think this forum is asking for people to bitch, moan or complain. Kiss1 may seem unappreciative, and spoke harshly, but I felt it was just a little cynical humor, which is Kiss1. And the offensive post, in a sense, he has a point. I was under the impression a mod is there to moderate, not shill. Seemed like it gets a little on the pitchman side, which by no means is moderate. Kiss1 is entitled to his opinion, right or wrong, there was no intent to defame anyone. The contest are great, and I do not participate. Kiss1 does and thinks they suck. So what? Does he speak for everyone, for anyone but himself? Do the people who play in the contests feel that way? This situation just went bad. We are all here to work together. Differences can be healthy. Maybe by him posting that people think, hey I do not agree with that and come to their own conclusions. Thought provoking. You start bullying poster who do not share the common view you have lost a lot of credibility. A better response may have been, You know what Kiss1, no gun to your head to play. You are the only one bitching. Exercise your freedom of non participation to show your protest. Remain professional gentlemen. Thank You...OF

I say the owners of Rio/Skybook better put a leash on you soon son. You can't look like more of a "chump" business wise.

Do the right thing, be a bigger man and apologise for starting up with me.

Rio, I have a suggestion:

Why not try this, if no one is fortunate enough to hit the grand prize on the nose throughout the playoffs.....how about a raffle for that 1K instead of the friendly wager?

Something like if no one hits from whenever to the last game in the finals then the 1k will be given away to a random poster who has competed in your contests?

What the hec why wager your 2k when you can give out the company's 1k?

Bye the way I do agree, the contests are not impossible, some have been oh so close. And I personally thank rio/sky/schill/and the shrink for the FREE opportunity to win!

Finally, my Dad used to say, "there ain't nothing for free in this world, but if you do find something, then don't bitch!"

i dont think the "contest" is the main issue here...debating on whether or not someone will win the contest...is irrelevant...

a poster critizing the contest (for whatever reason)...and then being called names by Shrink and Rio-shill is the issue....

i dont know Rio shill, but i see he is quick to call out someone who critizes his contest....

strange....that when i posted how Rio's clerks were rude, and how they purposely hung up on me, and told me the "systems were being upgraded" please call back later...1 minute before tip-off.....nothing was said....

but say something negative about a "bar contest" and you get bashed......lol

The contest is far from impossible, well under 1,000:1 against hitting it. With 10+games left, it will be hit ! I'd lay -250 on it, with a book, not a poster. I think the baseball one is tougher (for 10 ). It's worth my time to enter it.

Great idea. If nobody gets it, you are in, we will find some way to give that money away. Either a raffle or something like that. You have my word.

Good post. And yes, I do apologize for over-reacting. It just really hurt me that IMO, the company that I work for is by FAR the most generous sportsbook in terms of give aways was being bashed. Is Kiss 1 a bad poster? Prob not. I think he comes with some quality stuff. If he wants to play in these "impossible contests", he is welcome to. But please try and remember that we really do care about the player and we in no way are we trying to scam anyone. We give away TONS of free money including conso prizes, and that IMO should speak for itsself.
