TV - there isn't much of a write up to go with my picks. I make plays based on the ref matchups only. Surprisingly, this has been a successful strategy for me for quite some time. Since matchups aren't normally announced til 5 minutes prior to g.t., I don't have much time to research the play, play it myself, then post it here. No time for writeups beforehand. As for the Dal/Minn game, we got Joe Crawford and Ron Olesiak both reffing tonight (along with Gary Zielinski). Olesiak and Crawford are 2 of the top 5 "under" refs in my ratings of all NBA refs going back 8 years. Crawford has averaged 57.2% unders for his career and Olesiak 55% (Zielinski is near the middle of the pack at 49.6%). When two big time under refs like this combine to ref a game, I find the under hits almost 60% of the time.
My success rate this year, as you can see on my post headline, is 11-5-1. In past seasons, I have won close to 60% of the totals and around 54% of sides. It works in other sports, too, but I think it works best in basketball for several reasons.
