hello everybody, how are you......well the final leg of college football 2014 is here,...BOWL SEASON.

this is probably the most unpredictable part of capping college football in any season, and why you may ask, well a couple senerios come into play during this time of the season.first off you have to watch and see who is happy to be here and who is not.some teams are thrilled to have been selected and some teams are disappointed to which bowl they were selected for, some may think they should have been in the playoff format, etc.a lot of different things factor into picking games during bowl season so just beware and play it safe as we never know how teams are going to react once they hit the field.

i have some games played already and i will be adding at any time during the bowl season so if you want check back every couple days if you like and if not that's fine to.

now onto the bowls

Good luck key. The WMU play makes me sad though. Fading MAC against better conferences and fading MAC as a dog = path to riches in bowl games.
Like the others though for the most part. Not sure what to expect with Texas.

I use two stats to even consider a wager. First, take the team with the toughest SOS. Second. Take the teams that really want to be there. The following teams all qualify for the tougher schedules under the Saragin System which has had a large amount of success lately. Then I look for teams that lost their way into the bowl game that they are playing. Duke is a perfect example of that, having lost two straight at home to get to El Paso instead of the Orange Bowl in Miami.

My potential plays are:

Utah over Colorado State. Utah had the tougher SOS and Colorado State lost to the Air Force as 7 point chalk to eliminate themselves from the Fiesta Bowl as the rep from the group of 5.

Arizona State over Duke. Again, Arizona State has the tougher SOS and Duke had to really try their best to land up in El Paso instead of Miami's Orange Bowl.

Boston College over Penn State. As usual, B.C. has the tougher SOS. Penn State was looking at a good season, until a 2-6 finish including two straight losses sent them to New York City instead of some warmer climate.

Those are the three I am looking at now. There may be more.

One thing to consider regarding Penn St. is their bowl ban being lifted during the season this year. They didn't think there would even be a chance to go to ANY bowl, so from that perspective maybe they are glad to be in the Yankee bowl?

That is possible, but that ban was lifted on Sept 8th, after a 2-0 start to the season for Penn State. At 4-0, they knew that they had a great chance of going to a very good bowl game. Then came the big collapse. There was no excuse for losing to teams like Northwestern (PSU -10) and Maryland (PSU -3.5) at home.

i think at the end of the third q, the bama game should have gone over

If Ohio St Jumps out to an early lead it could end-up becoming shooting contest (up-see-go) and way-over. Alabama will score.
If Saban decides to feel-out this OSU rookie QB, the game could end-up becoming a chess-game.

The problem with handicapping these January games is the long wait.

thanks sparticus, but thesebowl gaames are so iffy as i said you really have to cut back on your bets,..well thats just what i believe anyway.even though we got the over easily in this MAC matchup, the huskies played a bad first half which i seen doom right from there.i mean look, they had 4 trips inside the 20 in the first half and got 7 points out of it,and the QB really was off his game and playing so tight or playing to be so perfect that it hampered his total game.

hopefully after these lower tier games get out of the way they start playing football the way they all have done all year long,.......best of luck the rest of the way

well not a good day at all as the bowls go 1-2,........going to take a more selective approach from here on in,so there won't be picks everyday at least up to this point of the bowls.

I damn sure think you had the right side who could figure that they pass on the field goal and we maybe have a different game. Tough Loss and I want to punch the SDSU coach in the face!

Just wanted to stop by your thread and wish you a merry christmas, pal. And best of luck for the remaining bowl games and anything else you deem worthy a wager :)
