Kentucky @ South Carolina - thoughts?

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this one. This game jumped out to me when it opened at SoCar -13. And by "jumped out," I mean, I didn't think SoCar could cover that number. However, it's starting to look more attractive to me now that it's down to -9.5, at least at my book (Sportsbook).

I think SoCar is really starting to hit a stride about now. Granted, last weekend SoCar was playing South Carolina State, but I saw some great throws out of Garcia and some great routes being run by Moe Brown & Co. This is one of the first times I have seen SOS's receivers play such a disciplined game. Not to mention the fact that there has been some interesting and close games between these two schools through the years.

Also, add the fact that UK's secondary will be very thin at best. CB Lindley (pre-season all SEC) is out. Furthermore, CB Paul Warford is doubtful as well. Therefore, UK will likely be going with Randall Burden and true frosh Neloms as their starting CBs. This secondary plus an increasingly-accurate Garcia and healthy corp of WRs for him to look to could equal a long night for UK.

However, I would also add that Auguste, arguably SoCar's best defensive back, is suspended for this game. Also, TE Saunders is doubtful for the game as well with a nagging ankle injury. Still, I don't know how much, if any, impact these two being out (Saunders is still a possibility) will have on the game.

I still don't know if I am going to touch this game or not. If it gets down to SoCar -7, I'll hit it. But I doubt it gets that low, despite how fast and how far it has already fallen.

Those are my preliminary thoughts. Just wanted to get the ball rolling on some insightful commentary for this game. Proceed.

Kentucky has not beaten the Cocks in this decade - So if you want to bet Kentucky you have to hope they can cover because it is very doubtful they can win outright.

With Lindley and Warford out ... there is no way UK will win this game ... however, I personally think the Cats can cover this game.

These are the games SC tends to have trouble with. They have had some success this year but with a big game next week against Alabama I can see SC looking ahead a little. Kentucky has had some terrible luck in the past few years against SC so it's about time for them to pull one out. Hopefully, not this year.

Jackie, I am one who doesn't touch teasers. However, to each his own, I merely say that as a preface to this: that is the only way I would touch this game is teasing it down. But I think I'm gonna sit on my ass for a little bit and see if this line moves anymore before I tease it. I'm just unfamiliar with teasers and don't see any positive value in them. At least not in CFB. Thanks for the input though, cheers.
