Hard to spot many holes in those lists.

I'll be curious to see how Cincinnati fares. They've lost practically everybody on defense, but on the other hand they're bound to have better luck keeping a quarterback on the field this season, plus I think they have an outstanding coach.

Kentucky will be a much improved team as well.
Problem is they have a terribly hard schedule.

The only losses were on linebackers, but Rich Brooks has said that this is the best linebackers they ever had.
With Lindley (a shut down corner coming back) they will be a tough defense.

The offense should be a little better.
Signing 2 top quarterbacks, with Morgan Newton being the stud.
He might take Hartline's position sooner than people think.
Running game should be solid and the Wide Receivers (which sucked last year) will be improved. They were mostly all freshman last year and now Randall Cobb gets to move from QB to WR which will really help.

I have seen them in the Spring and they actually look like a real SEC football school. They have won 3 bowl games in a row and Brooks has done a great job with the program. This will be one of our better teams, but like I said, it sucks because they have a really hard schedule.

Just thought I would post on a team I know really well.

I can't wait for football season!!!! Big money to be made!

Normally with the amount of starters that they lost, I would say Cincy and Troy will make big falls. But they both have very good coaches in weak conferences. Troy recruits pretty well for a SBC team. So with expectations low, they could actually surprise this year. And Brian Kelly is such a standout coach in the Big East that nothing would surprise me with this team. The game with Rutgers in the first game of the season should tell us alot. I expect a Rutgers to win. But I'm betting it won't be easy.

On the teams who should rise list, the only doubts i have there are with Indiana, Central Michigan, Toledo and Vandy. Indiana was really bad last season, so it's going to take quite a bit for this team to rise from the ashes. Toledo has a new coach. So even though they have a high amount of returning starters, it will still be a wait and see with a new coach and new system. Central Michigan is on my ATS busters list (8 wins or more). But I still have some doubts about this team because of their knucklehead coach. Vandy has a great coach with Bobby Johnson. But their improvement may not really be clear this year due to being in such a tough conference. Vandy strikes me as the type of team that plays very smart fundamental football. But when they play the big boys they get outmuscled. Yes, they were able to knock off an error prone Ole Miss team early in the season, and a struggling Auburn team by 1 point... But this is the same Vandy team who also lost to Duke at home. So I think any kind of clear improvement may be hard to see with this team. With Georgia Tech on their OOC schedule I think Vandy is going to be hard pressed to do like they did last season and make a bowl.

jbragg....How ya been doing buddy. It's good to see you posting here early.

Really curious about Indiana. They have been a great fade team everytime Kellen Lewis doesn't suit up and the fact that he's now off the team makes me think it will be a long year in Hoosierland. Their defense simply can't stop any D1 college football team.

GoHoosiers, give us the inside scoop bro!!
