Karen Hughes says abortion should be illegal because of the 9/11 attacks?

BLITZER: Karen, how big of an issue will this abortion rights issue be in this campaign?

HUGHES: "Well..I think after September 11th the American people are valuing life more and realizing that we need policies to value the dignity and worth of every life...particularly at a time when we're facing an enemy, and really the fundamental difference between us and the terror network we fight is that we value every life... "

Using 9/11 to defend Bush's stance on abortion is pretty sickening and divisive. Is 9/11 their excuse for everything?

It's interesting that most people who virulently support making abortion a capital crime are either men, or women no one would want to impregnate anyway....

If anything 9/11 woke us up to the reality that terrorism was a very threat and not just something that happens in other countries....

Most attacks on us were small and of sporatic occurance.....if anything it woke us up to the fact that it could happen to us....

Funny how all these right to lifers suck up to anything to try to justify thier position...

...see all the protesters outside the abortion clinics, trying to talk the women out of thier decision and ranting and raving about how "we can help"......"we can help you"....

Seems though that when it comes down to choosing between helping some pregnant woman financially and paying for the extra movie channels on cable or making that boat payment...that when the woman does have her kid, where are all those protesters who bragged about being able to help?

They're out at the lake. Some help they are.

Now my tax money gets soaked up into another welfare payment. Thanks for thinking about my choice, all you right to lifers!

I find that the people who claim to want to help the most at the beginning of a womans pregnancy are also the first to back out of all thier hollow meaningless promises once she has her child.....

Once she has her child then all of a sudden it's HER responsibility...money over life becomes the reality, when she needs money you right to lifers need to enjoy your life....

You have families of your own, rent or house payments to pay, usually some new car or suv...have to take the kids to soccer or dance....vacations....electric, gas, water bills, cable/satelite......how can anyone honestly believe that you could help out when you're living on a budget and spending your free time with your own family pursuits?

Find a way to dump welfare so I don't have to pay for something YOU promised them and then backed out of.....

"money over life".......your money goes into your life, not thiers...
