I agree. People overthink the spreads way too much. It psyches them and that is what Oddsmakers point is. To fuck with people's minds and thought process on sports betting.

I like KC, but every team is favored for a reason. If it was as simple as betting on the better team, everyone would win. That said, it is arguable Pitt is better than Cinci -- and on the road? I this Cinci is the more obvious pick. The book is clearly betting on Cinci and Minny as well.

Aren't short road favs (4 or less) among the worst bets in football over the long haul. I don't know the exact data, but I learned pretty quickly that those appealing short road favs are not as easy as they look. Not to say they won't win -- they win maybe 4 in 10 times. But the edge usually goes to short home faves.
