Rumors are swirling that Fields has a broken thumb. This would be a huge development if so. I love this Michigan +9.5 on Saturday. Michigan is not the same team that they were in September. The weather is going to be cold, rainy and snowy and this will be a close game but I think Michigan wins outright.

Ask yourself why OSU had 61 rushes and only 22 passes, eight passes, I believe, in second half when Penn St closed the gap. ?????

JDLR Just doesn't look right. Fields threw ok downfield but his sideline throws were high. Then throw in a sprained ankle at the end of the game.
Dobbin's had 36 carries too.

This can only help the Wolverines.

The big question is; can the Wolverine offense move the ball against that stout D? And not turn the ball over.

Special teams need to step up too.

When all the "hype" is said and done, this will be a typical late November Ohio State / Michigan football game (slugfest actually), with the favorite, Ohio Stage, having a lot on the line (a playoff berth), a late score by the Buckeyes to win a very close game should not surprise anyone at all. The current line (minus 9) will pull in a lot of Ohio State money. Keep a sharp eye on the weather..........Ann Arbor forcast....temperature's in the mid-30's with rain mixed with snow..

Hogwash and pure nonsense. The weather will have zero impact. This game will be a wide open shoot out both teams offenses are explosive juggernauts. Mich found something on offense a few weeks ago, and has covered the last two overs I posted here., Mich and Ind.

Yes both teams have brilliant defensive teams with top talent manning every position. Gone are the days of slug-fest football. It's a wide open game now with all the advantages going to the offense and scoring. Just look at what Harbaughs little brother is doing in Baltimore. OSU gave up on the Woodie Hayes model 10 years ago with the hire of Urban Myers. They stumbled around for a few years trying to keep the ol Woodie ways, before the Myers hire.

Mich has been slower to adopt the new model, hanging onto Bo's corpse of a game plan longer then OSU and has paid dearly for stoggy old 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

Sat Mich/ OSU game will bust thru the 50 point O/U total by early in the 3rd Q. Sleet, Freezing rain and a few flakes will be ignored like I should have ignored the nonsense you spewed in this thread.:):)

actually gentlemen that rain/snow forecast has now changed to mostly cloudy, temps 34-37. So put that argument to bed.

What I see as the REAL question is the health of one Justin Fields.
Ohio State has a loaded defense and I do not see Patterson & Co. marching up and down the field. If Fields is playing hurt Ohio St may lean on Dobbins and Teague in which case you will have that "slug-fest". If Fields is healthy and slinging the ball it could be a track meet.
There are good punt blockers on both teams so maybe a special teams score.
The longer nobody scores the tighter they get.
Good luck with your choice.

As often as he runs it, he better get used to injuries.

But moreso than a thumb, this will be Fields biggest game of his life. How he responds will be more interesting to follow. His 1st real road challenge if you will.

If Jim can't get it done this year, then this game will start losing some of its luster....like ND and USC has over the years. This is the year Michigan has home field, the QB, the defense, etc to win this game. Now or never for Big Blue.

Cold weather in the 30's affects football games. Physics 101. It matters.
And Fields is probably banged up... if his left hand has a broken finger that hinders him.
Even without Field's issues, I like Michigan at home, OSU is damn good but overrated by the public and then, LV.
Michigan + 9!

i listened to analysis and reports about the game all week and never heard anyone mention anything about Fields having a thumb injury. Where did you get that info from?
