Kinda annoying that you tell me I need 2 plays or I get graded as a loss or losses, so I add a play to satisfy that requirement. Then I'm told the 2nd play doesn't count because it wasn't in my first post. These rules are like a mine field. I'm likely to no longer participate.

I know it could be a pain at First, but once you get the hang of it. it works great.
We have used this format in just about ALL Contests.

All picks in One Post.

Here are the rules which are posted in the sign up thread and also there is a link to these rules Everyday in the Pick thread.

RULES
Starting Monday, April 16th, a 1 week Play For Position (P4P) Round will get under way. There will be a 20 play minimum for this round only (3 plays/day max). This will determine seedings for matchplay which starts on Monday, April 23rd. You will then be matched with an opponent based on your seeding, in a 7 day H2H elimination round.

For the P4P Round only, anyone who falls under the minimum (20) plays will be assessed a loss of -110 for each play short. However, anyone who does not make a pick throughout the entire P4P Round will be eliminated from any further competition. Also, should 2 or more players be tied after this round, the tiebreaker to determine higher seed will be best record for last five (L5) plays made. If still tied, the player with most total plays will get the higher seed.

Beginning with the Round of 32, a minimum of 10 plays is required to qualify. Any less than 10 plays will result in disqualification.

All elimination rounds will run from Monday to Sunday. As an added feature for the 11 day Championship Round, there will be multi-unit wagering available for the 2 finalists.

YOU MUST INCLUDE THE ROTATION #
WITH YOUR PLAYS!

If the rotation # and described play do not match, the NUMBER will be used for grading purposes.
If you do not include a rotation #, the play will be graded 'no action'.
It's preferable that you use the top Rot# for OVERS and the bottom rot# for UNDERS, but either # will be acceptable. Please note however, the chosen Rot# and total (OVER or UNDER) will overrule whatever team is posted as a pick.

  • Winners of each round, based on total weekly dollar amounts won, will continue on, losers go home. Should opponents be tied at week's end, the higher seed will be declared the winner.
  • YTD records will be used for reseeding. Matchups for the next round will then be determined, highest seed vs lowest seed and so on. Weekly records will be reset to 0.
  • Overnight Lines will be posted most of the time. Otherwise, lines will be posted the morning of the scheduled games (approx 9-11 AM ET). Only games listed will be available for play. No lines will be added later. If a play is made on a game OTB, it will be graded 'no action'.
  • All plays are action regardless of any change(s) in starting pitchers.
  • Runline, Moneyline and Totals will be available.
  • When wagering on Totals (over/under), the game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action. If a game is called or suspended in extra innings, the score will be determined after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the score is determined at the time the game is called.
  • Rules for Runline wagers are the same as those for Totals.
  • The result of a game is official after 5 innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4.5 innings. If a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called.
  • If the home team ties the game and it is then suspended, the play will be no action. No carry over to the next day.
  • To avoid the possibility of a poster falling short of the minimum # plays due to a rainout, any plays made on a game that is rained out will be graded a push. Substituting a play for a rainout will not be allowed.
  • Plays on a favorite are to win $100. Plays on the underdog are risking $100.
  • 3 play max per day.
  • One post per day. Additional posts for add-ons will be ignored.
  • Deadline to post will be 5 minutes prior to POSTED start time of first game on your playlist. If any plays are posted past the deadline, they will be graded as follows: a push if the play is a winner, a loss if the outcome is a loss. Editing your post is permitted in the first 5 minutes. If the post is edited after the 5 minute window, all plays will be graded as above. A second post after the 5 minute window expires asking to cancel a play will not be allowed.

kinda annoying that people don't read the clearly stated rules and then call out the moderator for enforcing them.

I read the rules. The one thing I hadn't properly interpreted or thought through is that by putting in a single play on day 1, it would now be impossible to achieve 20 plays in 7 days (at 3 per day max). You obviously understood what I hadn't and informed me (although I didn't see it for an hour or so). I interpreted your post informing me of the error as an invitation to post a 2nd play. I guess I was wrong in that interpretation and it left a bad taste. Considering it was day 1, I expected a greater level of understanding and a better resolution.
