bensonville, i'm sure you're not as uptight as you sound but man...cut the guy some slack. you are correct that straight bets are the way to make money, but the guy bet ten freaking dollars...pocket change for a burger and coke. i hardly think he is going to go broke or have his bankroll affected by a bet of ten dollars. he was this/close to a 90-1 payoff. have some camraderie for the guy. gambling is about winning, but it should be fun too, no? The very occasional pocket change parlay can get the juices flowing. i feel your pain viking. you knew it was a long shot but i'm sure the fun of the chase was more thrilling than any burger and coke would be.

i lost that purdue play also.... they had a chance to cut that lead but they kept on fouling and the opposition nailed their free throws. I've learned my lesson, always buy a half point when it is a 1.5 or 9.5 line

Somebody's pissed at Viking. He had a 7-teamer lose by a half point last year, and that was only because he got a bad line because of a late move. One of these days, you'll hit one of these.

Very nice big dawg. I bet large parlays quite often. 10 bucks is nothing so why not go for a shot at a grand.

Bensonville - as far as teasers and parlays being killer, you could never convince me. Made more money on teasers this year in football than on straight up bets! Will never stop betting those. Parlays over 3 teams, yes probably killer but not for 5 or 10 bucks. Not going broke on that. Just wanted to share my parlay w/everyone. Not pissed about it.

I'm not trying to tell people how to bet, but I have a friend that goes with parlays and teasers all the time and wonders why he never makes any money.

I use to do it all the time myself, but went to straight up lines and I seem to be doing alot better.

It is alot of fun to have some of those big parlays for a small amount wagered. Just don't make it a habit.
