Butler -17 (4 Units)
I like Butler -17 tonight. Butler is a really good, consistant team this year and it is not a one man show, everyone contributes. Like Vanzant who came off the bench for Baylor last game and had 20 points 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Not many teams have a 6th man like that. Both Valparaiso and Baylor have 4 guards in their starting lineups meaning they are outside shooters and not teams that work it in the paint.
Interesting stat i came up with here, Valpariaso's starters average 34 minutes of playing time. The average points per game for the starting 5 is 41 points. Butler's starting 5 averages only 21 minutes of playing time and averages 58 points a game. That is not including the other 19 minutes and players like Vanzant that rack up 20 points off the bench. Meaning Butler's starters play 13 minutes less and score 17 points more. 17, that is an odd number since the point spread is 17, hmmmm. Also expect the #3 ranked Butler scoring defense to hole Valparaiso to under their average points.
Valpa is 1-4 ATS last 5 as road underdog, 1-6 ATS last 7 as underdog, and 1-4 ATS their last 5 road games. While Butler is 4-0 ATS ast 4 games being favored, 12-4 ATS their last 16 games favored by 13 or more, 8-3-1 ATS their last 12 home games and 16-5-1 their last 22 games overall. I think Butler smokes the Valparai
