Judge or dimesplayer ..question

when you say your "doing ok" does that mean you made the line at your shop correct so that you have made money no matter who wins the sporting event??? im curious thanks

 

doing ok is book vernacular for doing well.We are a supersticious bunch.

I have never known a bood that ever did anything but lose, at least according to them.

One of my favorite stories is that the head of a book was waiting on a certain result. An underling came to him and reported the result only to have the head of the book reply, "My god, we got killed on that game." Within moments, the underling realized that he had the scores mixed up, and went to tell the head that he had the scores wrong, only to have the head of the book reply, "That's even WORSE."
