this is more of a personal one among the 27 of us....

it is just My Opinion, thats all....

Well I just noticed this...Red Eye what do you suggest?

Perhaps we could vote as a group, I know we have rules in place to protect against this , the post was technically late, I doubt the game started...I am trying to think of what is fair for everyone...

Would like some feedback from actual contestants.

Agreed, we are all men.......however, we all are able to read clearly stated rules and the time is 12:55.

No excuse to post late......NO EXCEPTIONS

If ANY exception would be considered to be made, it would be if a post was made between 12:55 and 12:59........not 1:00 and 1:01.

I personally believe since JMAN rules have 12:55 clearly written, it should be firmly upheld and the picks should be invalid.

If the contest makes an exception this time, then another time it will be something else.

Any/all picks posted 12:55 and after should be invalid.

Good point WoofDaddy...This is tricky, I hate to see anyone tossed for such a minor infraction...rules are rules.

Should we ask the entire contest group?

if the games had started (say 1:07) there would be no question but we could be literally talking about a split second..this is tough.

I don't even know what you guys are referring to as I am not involved...but from experience I will say that once you start bending rules, all hell breaks loose. Rules are there for a reason. Everyone should follow them...if they don't, they understand what happens.

maybe they were trying to post but it was taking too long to load?

I know it is not a real excuse as they should have posted earlier, but still, I tend to lean on the HUMAN side with discretion rather than than the ROBOT side with no discretion at all....

in this case anway, not in a contest with 100's of entries, but in this case....

The rules are the rules. Personally since I think its 300 at stake to let it slide however I can't understand why both posters would cut it so close to the deadline so if the group rules against them I wouldn't feel sorry for them either.

Did the group also vote when kermit got kicked out of the last man Standing contest when he picked a Monday night game that wasn't going to be played for a few days and he didn't even get to pick another game. he just got kicked out !!

Actually, it shouldnt matter what any of us vote for the deadline posting time is clearly stated.

The thread is posted days prior. Many of us wait until late Sunday to see moves, injuries or possibly what others have chosen.

They chose to wait, and therefore, no exceptions should be made.

Sorry to piss off anyone, but there is money at stake and clearly stated rules should not be changed to accommodate errors by participants.

Certainly I'm not arguing with any of the feedback...I just want to be fair here..I hate to see anyone kicked out on such a technicality...I'm not aware of the LMS contest ruling.

this is a win % contest.. not most wins .

i think by not counting their picks they now have less losses possibly and that would work to their advantage . is that right ?

for instance

if a guy was 12-10 , his win % is .545

if he goes 2-2 and is now 14-12 , his % drops to .538

i could be wrong here .

NFL PICK 4 Contest Rules
<hr style="color: rgb(253, 222, 130);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> First I would like to thank everyone for joining in the fun this fall and winter, we had a great contest last year, everyone who participated followed the simple rules, and we didn't have any mix-ups with people forgetting to post plays or being late....

The rules are very simple...

* all plays are -110

*make 4 side selections each and every week in one post, before the 1 o'clock games start, by 12:55 eastern time.

* each play counts the same

* no editing , please...any editing after the games start, will result in an 0-4 day.

* ties count as ties, the standings are kept and posted each week, the standings will be counted as follows...

* example, if your record is 20-12 you are + 6.80 units forthe season, if your record is 20-10-2 you are +9.00 units, which is obviously a better record...

*lines will be posted on wednesdays, you may post plays anytime after that, in the contest thread....

*if you have to be away and need to post your plays early, you can and you will receive the wednesday lines.

* there will be a few exceptions when we will have games before Sunday , like Thanksgiving, Christmas and late season saturday games. on those occasions we will allow for more than one post, if you choose to make selections on those early games.

* good luck to everyone, I hope we all make money this NFL season and enjoy the contest

I got knocked out of the other contest because of posting late while leading. Its all boolocks this post 1 Hour before,. 10 Mins before. Post before KO, whats the problem.

I have NOTHING to do w/ this but i agree w/ those that say rules are rules....I was in the MLB contest where you can only pick each team once and one week I wasn't able to get my pick in until after midnight (deadline was midnight)...it didn't count for me.....
