I'm no expert, but Kerry's odds to win the democratic nomination seem better than the 9-5 you can get at BoDog. They have Dean favored at 1-3. Seems like a stale line.

I just max bet it, which is just $100, still seems like a good shot to pick up $180. another site I checked has Kerry at 1-2 and Dean second at 5-2. that seems more realistic such as the state of affairs is today.
bodog also has edwards at 7-1, clark 5-2.

Dean is dead, edwards at 7-1 might be a live longshot.

If Dean becomes the Dems nominee, then we'll have four more years of Bush. Dems electing Dean would be making the same mistake as the ones that chose Dukakis to run against Reagan. The country is not going to vote for some New England Yankee far-left liberal.

Kerry would have a tough time for the same reasons, but a better shot being a war hero and all.

I think the one that would have the best chance is Edwards. A Southern Dem with charisma and charm. He would come ac**** as moderate.

The Dems are going to shoot themselves in the foot with this.

Dean vs. Bush, I say Bush has a 10 to 1 edge. Kerry vs. Bush, I say Bush has a 4 to 1 edge. Edwards vs. Bush. I would say that Bush has about a 2 to 1 edge, which is as good as it's going to get.

I just put $25 on Edwards just in case, so if Edwards wins, I come out a little ahead.

But I need Kerry.

If Hilary enters the race and enough complete KNUMNUTS vote for her and she gets the nomination I am going to go mental. Democrats were dumb enough to support Dean, a fringe canditadite at best, but Hillary is way worse. No clue what the attraction is to her for democrats.

Thanks for the post, Mr. Smith. I'm a Bush guy, and the only ticket that worries me somewhat is Kerry with Edwards as V.P.

dean is picking up all kinds of steam down the stretch of the new hampshire primary. after being down as much as 18% he's closed to within 3%. i have no clue how bodog could have had him as the fav, when kerry has lead through out.

Dean might be a buy again in the low teens, at least for short-term value. He was overpriced in the 50s and now he's underpriced at 15 or less. You could double your money if cold snowy weather keeps the turnout low and the Deaniacs turn out enough for the press to call him the "comeback kid", at least until the next primary.
