Something I heard, forget which network. 2004 was the last election in US history where you will have 4 white men running for office. With the changing demographics of America, republicans are going to have to get the minority vote to have any chance. Jindal will get more conservative minorities interested in the republican party.

yes i posted this yesterday in that thread about mccain at least no longer the face of the GOP ticket. GOP loves a potential Jindal/Romney ticket depending on the feedback they get on having a LDS VP, but Jindal is certainly the golden boy.

would you throw him out in 2012 vs. obama though or hold him back to 2016. i'd hold him back just because it's very dificult to defeat the president.

i wouldnt throw out my future vs. the current president.

I just dont see this happening. The man simply doesnt have the appeal. May be to people in the Bayou. But to date, i dont even know this guy. And its not for lack of trying, i watch more news than the average person.

I not bashing the guy, i just dont get what the big deal is with him! I dont see him inspiring the masses like people claim he would!

Republicans need a latino, Asian or some thing to move them from the extreme dead right to the center. Some one with a voice in that community!

When the democrats pass immigration reform. (and they will) they will effectively turn the that mid west corridor solid blue for the next 20 years.
Can you say buh buy Arizona, Nevada, NewMexico, Even florida, Can you imagine florida with all those 27 Evs solid blue? Republicans will never ever see the light of day ever again! Those jews they have scared into voting for republicans shall soon become completely irrelevant with the black and latino vote.

If republicans dont realize that democrats are about to put a choke hold on the presidency for multiple decades to come, they are about to be rudely shocked.

Trust me folks, on the day immigration reform is passed, the republican party will be officially dead. And if people think Jindal is the answer...:nohead:

Agree. and he will by 45 in 2016. Perfect age to make an impactful run in current politics.

look at him piccolo. he is a transformational figure like obama. thats why obama did so well. youth, didn't look like every other politician. bright, intelligent speaker.

i don't know much about him either, but from the visual image perspective, this is who the GOP needs to prop up.

thats a huge leap comparing him to Obama. 4 years ago when obama gave the key note speech at the DNC convention, he became an instant hit. The speech was already on youtube and even republicans were talking about the young black kid at the convention. (insert your typical obama gusher jokes here)

But looking for the "republican OBama" would be a complete mistake. These people come along once in a life time. Its been almost 30 years since the kennedys.. It will be that long before some one like that rises again.

It would be a mistake to look for the "next Obama", Mccain tried that crap and it backfired badly in his face with Palin and her "crowds".

No one individual will be able to replace Obama. Rather the whole party should collectively combine to restructure and resale their brand as a whole!

I will say again, Jindal will be absolutely useless after the immigration act is passed and republicans lose florida for ever.

Because he has brown skin? Obama was more than just a black guy! He has charisma that had presidents from France, to jordan swooning over him in a disgusting way!

Its not enough to simply be brown skinned to compete with the reformaton the democrats have planned for this country.

And in four years, i will go on and make this prediction, there will be a more charismatic latino leader that will come out of no where. If the republicans are sharp they will start looking around for their long lost latino republican friends and find a voice within that community.

Jindal is indian. There are precious few indians any where in the usa to make him viable enough or anything.

If Jindal were on the McCain ticket instead of Palin, it would of been a dogfight.

The future of the republican party will be a fiscal conservative and one that doesnt bow down to the religious right. He wont compromise economic freedom for petty social issues nor will he pretend to be a "caring" conservative. He wont pile on more debt and he will balance a budget and address the upcoming problems with entitlements, Until that person arrives (who give a rats ass what color he is) then the Republican party will continue to sink into the abyss. So, in the meantime Zit and Wullie and the like... better start investing in scuba diving equipment.

hehehehehe

Now we have the death of political party, yet again. :missingte

how long have you buys been following politics? two years?

Again, these weak ass conclusions have been spoken scores of times in the past, and they haven't come close to be right one time. Just stop.

In 2008, the winds of change were blowing for the Democrats, nothing more, nothing less.

Its really simple Wullie. Whites make up the majority. We are on the decline. blacks vote 90% Democrat. Hispanics are now starting to vote Democrat more so then ever before (see Miami for example) and they are the fastest growing population in the country. Its a number game. The common myth is that Republicans are for the rich while the Dems are for the poor. Now while this may be the case now, that wasnt the intent and that image is one that will be hard to shake as more people start to struggle. The true intent of the republican party was freedom, as much as possible at every level. so keep your bible at home and run on positions that are secular and fiscally responsible, and you will appeal to people from all walks once they realize whats coming (from both Dems and Neocons).
