RNC: Webb Dropping Out Is Proof Democrats Have ‘Moved Away From The American People’

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus believes that Jim Webb’s Tuesday decision to drop out of the Democratic presidential primary is a sign of how out of touch the party is with the American mainstream.

“Former Senator Jim Webb’s decision to drop out of the race is a reflection of how far left the Democrat

Party has moved away from the American people,” Priebus said in a Tuesday press release.

Webb, known for his conservative views on guns and other issues, said that he was no was no longer running as a Democrat due to the party shifting to the “extremes” in recent years.

In the RNC statement, Priebus said that the popularity of Bernie Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, and Hillary Clinton pandering to the far left shows a party forgetting the lessons of its midterm loss while “racing to the fringe and proposing policies that make President Obama look like a moderate.”

Too bad. He obviously had no chance, but he was the Democrat I would have been most likely to vote for.

Eh,a former republican who has views different than many in the Democratic Party is whining about its direction? Ummmm ok. Now he's hinting he might run as an independent. Just a ploy to get an offer or promise from one of the front runners.

Another politician doing what politicians do.

So when O'Malley leaves the race will it be because the party is too right? What about Chafee?
I like Webb, but his debate performance was pathetically bad.
He can't be pigeonholed. He's pro gun, but he's very anti war. Except the crazy Vietnam war which he still ridiculously defends. He's pro choice, pro Freedom of Marriage.
Hope he runs 3rd party, and if he is in another debate, needs to bring an A game if he has one.

Senate Democrats just blocked a GOP-backed bill that would withhold funds to sanctuary cities.

The Party of Extremists cares more about filthy illegal aliens than the safety of law-abiding American citizens.

Think about it...

Nope.

They only care about installing a permanent dimocrap voting base. Everything and anything they do or say works toward that goal (including the destruction of our society and values). This is just a means to their end...and by the time Mr and Mrs Average American figure it out, it'll be too late.

These self-serving vermin need to be extinguished.

Welfare benefits for illegal aliens and sanctuary cities (Hussein), bankrupting the coal industry and skyrocketing electricity rates (Hussein), using the IRS to "punish political enemies" (Hussein), Denmark welfare state and taxes (Bernie Sanders), gun confiscation (Hildabeast)...

Fringe of the fringe - definitely not your dad's Democrat party (unless he was a communist!)

No wonder Jim Webb could barely keep his food down at that last debate!

If Webb would have run in the Republican primary he would have been my 2nd choice behind Trump!
he came in 2nd in the Drudge & Time instant polls and moved decidedly ahead of O'Malley & Chafee in the first
legit polls after the debate, but he realized he was a fish out of water as the Democratic party he gravated
toward in his youth just disappeared before his eyes.

I admired Webb for rejecting 'affirmative action' that aided blacks & illegals but shunned the poor whites of
Appalachia the area of which he had his ancestral links.

there's something both parties have in common

1) democrats leave their party because they're too far to the left
2) republicans also abandon their party because they're too far to the left
3) and libtards tell us we have to be more like them if we want to win elections (as silly as that is), when the last thing on earth we want to be is more like them

welcome to politics, circa 2015, where brilliance is no where to be found

Liberals don't say " you need to be more like us to win elections" but facts prove you need to be less like yourselves to win elections.

The Party of Extremism strikes again:

BILL O’REILLY: There comes a point where the American people are going to have to take back their government. When a 32-year-old woman can be gunned down by and illegal felon who had been deported five times, and you can’t get a strict law punishing illegal alien felons passed. When that happens, you don’t have a functioning government. It is hard to believe, but far left in America is actively opposing Kate’s Law. It’s unbelievable — unbelievable is too gentle a word.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Bill. You're a little late to the party, but whatever...

Exactly, he has been delusional all along, whining about how little time he was getting during the debates instead of actually debating, and saying that if he runs as an independent, he can beat Hillary and Trump, at the very moment he is cruising along at 1%.
