Good for him. That goes a lot further than that other criminal, Kobe Bryant, and his $4,000,000 buy out from his puta.

Kudos to Jermaine. The Pats are doing something similar.

FOXBORO, Mass. -- The New England Patriots are adding a little incentive in their drive to collect money for victims of the South Asian tsunami.

Those who donate $1,000 or more to the tsunami fund through the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation will receive tickets to the Jan. 16 playoff game at Gillette Stadium. As many as 200 tickets are available for donors.

One playoff ticket will be provided for each $1,000 contributed before 5 p.m. EST on Jan. 12. Contributions will continue to be accepted through Jan. 30.

The Patriots, who have a first-round bye, will play either Indianapolis, San Diego or the New York Jets on Jan. 16.

Contributions can made through www.patriots.com.

Sherman it is for millionaires no one expect normal working guys to donate a grand. If you wanted a ticket bad enough you would have did the stay up all night in line thing and pay face value. The Pats are donating the money (up to $200,000) for the 200 tickets to a very worthy cause. You also could try to scalp a ticket on game day outside Gillette for less than $1000 or put an add in the paper "ticket wanted" and see what happens. Even E-bay might have a few for sale. Get creative son.

Sherm they could easily sell the 200 tickets and put the money in their coporate pockets. This way a nice peice of change goes to help the victims of a terrrible diaster.

Sherman are you OK? What difference does it make what they sell the tickets for if they are not donating the money. This is a charitable act by a corporation, the money will most likely come from other coporations and the rich. Try to trust me when I say it is at least not a bad thing.

Have a good night, wil.

You dont get it Wil......let's say the NFl allows them to sell these tickets for $200 each...they make $40,000

instead they say people donate $1000 each and well donate it so the NFL says ok.....Now they take in $200,000 and make a charitable contribution and write off the $200,000

That is such stupid logic it is ridiculous. You always have to turn things into negatives? Now I have seen it all. A donation to the relief effort is now even a negative in your book. By joining forces with others and doing it PUBICLY it generates the idea in peoples minds to also donate what they can to the effort. Privately doing it serves no additional purpose whatsoever, other than the money itself. Unbelievable thought process you have.

Sherman your right, if I were you I would give serious thought into becoming a Bills fan so you won't have to worry about this kind of thing around playoff time. I'm done with this thread.

O'Neal is one of 7 players to do it. Highly doubt it was HIS idea, but probably his agent's. 7 of arn tellem's players are doing it and tellem is matching the total contribution dollar for dollar

He is actually matching the HIGHEST contribution dollar for dollar, not total. Very good gesture though, no matter what by all involved.
