As a Viking fan I was pretty excited to hear about favre's interest in the Vikings; however, after witnessing the circus he brought to the Vikings camp I think he's tearing the team apart. Favre is expoiting the Vikings. He's not seeking the Vikings because he loves football, if that was the case he'd play for any tier 2 or tier 1 team. Instead he only wants to play for the Vikings because internally he thinks the Vikings need, wait, WANT him because that's the main weakness the Vikings have yet to fix. All the pieces are in place and Tavaris J is about to be check mate. Favre only wants one more shot at a superbowl, revenge against GB management, and to be the next Elway with his bicep surgery turn superbowl qb. He obviously doesn't care about gb fans watching him in a purple 4. Favre you better make your mind up: do you ruin a franchise like the packers with your move to the jets or cause the whole NFC north to tumble and rotate teams? What's next lions?
I lost respect for Farve years ago when he first starting auditioning for his Soap Queen Role. It has gotten worse over the years. Farve is just looking for a way to get even with Green Bay, so he picks a team with a great RB and ground atttack, terrible QB's and a decent defense. Farve would be no worse than anything Minny has at QB now, so it is a safe pick for him. The Vikes do not get to the Superbowl with, or without him.
I personally don't care. I understand his position, he just loves the game that much. All the bitchy done about people sick of him is really the media's fault. He doesn't try to get the media to make this a problem but its them who have to keep bringing it up. If he wants to play cool if not cool too, i'm not gonna make a big deal of it. The media has made this their biggest story the last 3 off seasons just to get ratings and people watch just to complain about it.

I don't think he's "milking" this thing. Do you want him if he's the same guy he was the last 4 or 5 games LY? NO!! I'll take him @ his word, that he wants to be SURE his arm is OK. WTF dif. does it make if he decides now or 10 days from now? None. As far as dissension, there won't be any as soon as he hits one of those 30 yd sideline outs. Or makes a read that Tarvaris wouldn't see if it was shown to him in the film room. Do I wish "Brainless" was gone & we had picked up another QB? Yes, but we didn't. As far as I'm concerned, WTF is Harrell doing in Canada? He'd have been a decent gamble. All I know Jackson is too stupid to ever be an NFL starter. I don't have much time left and neither does my fav. sports team, w/this gp of players. If Itzy will just fire Brainless, I'll pass on a happy man! BOL to all, even BP:toast:

He can help Minnesota, but let's face it. Minny depends on the run, first, and formost. Their ground attack must get all the attention. Now I do not know if Farve, that little Drama Queen, can take a back seat to Peterson, but this is what he will have to do if Minny is to be successful. Farve has been a choke artist and an INT machine for the past several seasons now. He threw away Green Bay's chance to go to a Superbowl in 2007. His team did not make the playoffs the two season before. He claims to have had an excuse last season. Let's see if this guy can realize that he is not the head honcho anymore and seeif he can become a team player. Minny needs an average QB. They do not have one as of now. If Farve throws the ball 15-18 times a game, Minny will be fine, but if Farve decides to run the show himself, say good-bye to a conference title. They will win the division, but that is as far as they will go.
Minny actually runs the ball too much (145 YPG is not effective running, in their case). With Favre the balance would be better. As to his last two offseasons, I don't care. The Jets were 8-3 last year, before losing 4 of their L5. So I don't expect the circus to carry over to the football field. Favre will be ready. The media create the circus; not Favre.
