a conventional candidate doesn't have a chance

It's not about policy, democratic failures would have made this a slam dunk. It's all about a controlled message and collusion with the media.

They're a lap dog, they take their marching orders from the democrats, they attack republicans calling them racists, they call them dark, they deflect attention from Hillary's problems

The democrats create the news and tells their lapdog media not only how to report it, they tell them specific words to use in the coverage to drive their trumped up message home as they march in lockstep

They're even creating racial tensions, because they need to scare African Americans to the polls and make sure they vote 93/5

it takes an unconventional candidate to break that mold

defeating criminals and collusion and idiocy is no small ordeal

W99 I gotta disagree on this 1

A good portion of Hillary's support is just people who are voting against Trump rather than for her. He has a 60% unfavorable rating.

The next 4 or 5 guys in the Republican party all would've beat her I think. Jeb I'm not sure on, he was seen as weak on immigration and the whole dynasty thing, not really a good recipe for this year. But Kasich/Rubio/Cruz/Christie I think all get this, Jeb probably 50/50.

High upside wasn't needed, low downside was needed.

see, all the negatives they're using against Trump now they would use against any Republican nominee

the media carefully follows the specific instructions from the DNC and would drive up the negatives of any Republican nominee using the very same words and style and accusations and tactics they use against Trump

silly McCain actually thought the left wing media liked him in 2008, because they teased him for seeking to destroy him in 2008

Trump is the only man willing to fight back, crawling right there in the cutter with them

Like we have ALL said in here the Liberal Left Wing Media is the source of all the issues..and they are controlled by higher powers.

The recent rash of Guccifer hacked emails just validates what we have been saying all along....and have been poo pooed by the left about as if there is no bias on the major networks.

It's sickening to say the least as propaganda is a very powerful tool. The Dems don't care as the end justifies the means. They have no moral compass, no god, no soul, no guidance as quite frankly are just about as piece of shit scum as there is on the planet.

I don't blame all Dems as most of them are just fucking stupid and have no idea how their minds are being manipulated daily...from pre school on up in many circles.

Trump serves up the ammo bigtime though. There is just way more low hanging fruit because of how wild and unpredictable his mouth is.

These other guys games are way tighter in that sense. Sure that won't produce the same rabid response of new voters coming in to the R primary, but it also wouldn't turn so many people off either.

He might win anyway but I think the others would've been able to handle the attacks better, simply because there would be less of them. I'm telling you so much of Hillary's support is just an anti-Trump vote, this was an R cycle. Look at her unfavorable ratings compared to those other guys, it would've been tough for her to win.

Not to mention the establishment support, financial donors and their organization would be far better than Trump's. I know that is stuff people despise about politics, but it still helps the R's win an election.

Trump is kinda like if the 7pt fav NFL team with the advantage decided to go for it on 4th down every single time during a game. Just creating unneeded variance in an overall advantageous position.

I think you are right on this except for Cruz, I don't think he stood a chance.

Also good points, Trump screwed himself with talks of the Wall, his derogatory remarks about Mexicans and his antiabortion rant he had not so long ago, I bet there is more but there are a lot of people who can't stand him.

Republicans do a lot of this to themselves by not keeping their mouth shut... Focus on the issues of jobs, economy, deficit, education, etc. Instead of just bashing ACA come up with a different health care plan, have a plan in place.. Don't even talk about abortion, Don't talk about homosexuality and gay marriage, Don't have radio personalities call people like Sara Fluke a "slut" or "prostitute."

Your logic is curious. If Kasich/Rubio/Cruz/Christie all got it why did they all lose? Think about it.

Because the field was fractured and Trump had the most rabid base. That works in a field of 17 then 10 then 5.

In a heads up field against a weak candidate, you basically just want low variance and someone that can appeal to a wide spectrum of voters.

I know this is the same logic people said about McCain and Romney, that is usually the rebuttal for what I'm saying but I would say Obama in '12 and certainly '08 was far more liked by America than Hillary is right now.

I'd suggest taking a closer look around...because the same thing can easily be said for people lining up to vote against Fat Grandma.

This is not a status quo election. More and more, I'm starting to think Hillary -- as the establishment candidate -- is going to have a very difficult time pulling this off. At least without the help of some major, major voter fraud, which I believe is the last half-court shot the dims have left in their bag of tricks.

That is what I am saying.

You have #NeverHillary people, but you also have #NeverTrump

If those other guys are on the ticket, I just think it is way tougher to create that #Never____ enthusiasm and environment for. It is just Hillary that people will be rallying against.

I will add to Pats answer... I am a guy who probably won't vote, but being a person who dislikes both Trump and Hilary, I would have voted for Kasich, Rubio, or Christie if they were running, There are a lot of people like me and I bet those 3 could have stole Some Hilary votes.

Yep.

The gaystream media could have taken down the Kenyan - but chose not to.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas.

The reality is Trump won the nomination not Kasich, Rubio, or Christie. Trump raised enthusiasm to record numbers among Republicans as witnessed by the primary turnout.

For every person such as yourself who probably won’t vote there will be ten who didn’t vote in the last election that will now cast their ballot because they see Trump as someone who will put a stop to all the madness. (status quo).

That is what a lot of people don’t get, Trump lit a fire under the couch potatoes collective asses. Call it a revolution or whatever you want but it’s real.

Trump won by a landslide

I didn't think he could, I thought everything would collapse on him, but I'm smart enough to know I was wrong and I'm smart enough to let the numbers speak for themselves

Not sure what others are thinking
