Itunes music on MP3 players

How do you transfer an I-Tunes downloaded song to an MP3 player? It is easy with a real-music manager or rio-manager (I have a Rio-Sport MP3), but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it i I-Tunes.

Sorry Daringly-I've never used ITunes.

If you know where the files are, can't you just copy them over in Windows explorer?

I very well may be wrong, but I don't think you can play an I-tunes download (AAC format) in most MP3 players. I believe you are going to have to burn the song as an MP3 file onto a CD and then reload the song into your computer as an MP3 so your player will recognize it. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will let me know.
