Rx.com Bash 2009 Itinerary
Friday August 14TH And Saturday August 15TH 2009 at The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.
Friday is reserved so that Rxers arriving on the 14Th can check in and get their rooms settled. Rxers arriving earlier in the week have the day free to do whatever they please. Arrange to play golf, sight see around Las Vegas or spend some time in The Golden Nugget Sportsbook hooking up with other Rxers and betting horses, capping Friday's full card of Baseball etc. Friday is basically a free day for everyone to travel or if already in Las Vegas do what they want.
Saturday: The Poker Tournament begins in The Golden Nugget Poker Room at Noon PDT Sharp.
Myself and another moderator will be on hand from 11AM PDT on in the Golden Nugget Poker Room to check in tournament players and issuing table and seat assignments.
You can stop by anytime after 11AM PDT to get your seat assignment and then return no later than Noon PDT to be in your seat for a shuffle up and deal at NOON PDT sharp. Please do not be late, late arrivals up until 12:30PM PDT will forfeit blinds in turn at their seat. Seating will close at 12:30PM PDT sharp.
Guests who decide they want to play should see me along with their sponsor poster and you will be issued seats on an if available basis. I do expect some extra seats so I am very confident that any guests who apply will be able to play.
All Rx Posters should have an account at either Ultimatebet or Absolute Bet Poker to play. Guests can play on their Poster sponsor's account. NOTE: Entrants including both posters and their guests can fill out a short form at the site (The Golden Nugget Poker Room just prior to when we begin play) anytime between 11AM and NOON PDT if you want to play but still have not obtained an UltimateBet or AbsoluteBet Poker Account...
Please remember all players must donate $20 when they are obtaining their seat assignments that will be used to tip the entire Golden Nugget Poker Crew including dealers and supervisors that run the tournament for us.
Please do not enter the tournament if you do not want to pay the $20. The $20 gratuity is a long standing tradition for Rx Bash Poker Tournaments.
The Tournament should be over by approximately 4PM PDT with the winners announced and awarded their prizes later on Saturday Night at The Rx Bash 2009 Reception Dinner.
Posters and Guests are on their own from the end of the Poker Tournament until The Reception Dinner Saturday Evening.
Saturday Evening at 8PM PDT (seating begins at 7:30AM PDT):
The Reception itself will be held in The Bel Air Banquet Room on The Convention Level of The South Tower of The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.
There will be tables manned with moderators and other Rx.com staff at the door to the banquet room to check poster names in order to issue pre-written name tags plus issue posters their valuable raffle tickets.
Only Posters (and mods) will be eligible to participate in the raffle which will include numerous prizes, including funded accounts at sponsors such as BetJamaica, BetPhoenix and Skybook. plus there is always the possibly of envelopes containing various amounts of cash to be raffled off courtesy of The Rx.com Management or one of our sponsors.
BetPhoenix.com has generously shipped three bottles of rare and expensive XO specially labeled Cognac for us to raffle off to posters who signed up for The BetPhoenix.com promotion on the Offshore Forum or filled out a sign up form that will be available when you check in for The Reception Dinner.
The Raffle will take place around 9:30PM PDT after everyone has had a chance to enjoy the a delicious buffet that will be available to both Posters and their guests. Last year's buffet was excellent and I expect this year's to be excellent also. .
The Reception will include an open to all full service bar totally comped (please tip your server).
Finally after everyone has eaten. I believe we will hear some brief remarks from Rx.com CEO Marty Jensen and SportsOptions General Manager Rick Allec.
Then the raffles will take place. The raffle will include $2500 in Freeplay Accounts from either BetJamaica and Skybook.
Please make sure you have an account at both books before you accept a prize if you win one. Winners will have to email me their prize code that will be presented to you at the time you win, the particular sponsors account number and your poster name when you return home from Las Vegas. Your account must predate Midnight Pacific of August 13Th 2009. Winning and opening an account later is not permitted. Accounts do not require funding.
BetPhoenix.com account holders will be eligible for the valuable Cognac.
Rx.com Management may or may not add further prizes to the raffle. Time will tell...
Once the raffle is completed we will after a while start giving each attendee a gift bag, both posters and guests.
The elegant carry all bags will include all kinds of items including Rx.com Polo and T-shirts with Rx logos embroided (on the Polo shirts) and silk screened (on the T-shirts). Lots of other items donated by our sponsors and good friend Porno Paul will be included in the gift bags.
Paul has donated some great sports related merchandise to give away this year. One gift bag per person. Please tell us the shirt size you want and we will do our best to accommodate you (smalls and mediums are very limited).
The event should break up around 11:00PM PDT when everyone is free to go their own way and enjoy the rest of the night at the beautiful Golden Nugget or wherever else in Las Vegas you care to visit.
Check out time on Sunday morning is Noon PDT.
Please remember to get a Golden Nugget Players Card (if you don't already have one) when you check in and PLEASE use it when you gamble anywhere in The Golden Nugget. You can pick up your card at the 24 Karat Club Booth in the casino near the escalator.
