eek - What are you trying to say? Are you saying that the message that the bible sends about love and understanding and getting along with each other should be ignored by the State Department? Are you saying that this great book should be ignored because it's a Christian document?
When I make a decision, it's based on a number of factors - whether it's profitable or not, what the short and long term impact might be, whether it's moral and ethical, etc..
My foundation for morals and ethics is based on teachings that come directly from the bible - hell, just look at the Ten Commandments and The Golden Rule! In my estimation, these are worthy and honorable rules to live by.

Doc wants Israel to remain intact not because of any earthly, real-world justifications, but because that's what god apparently told the bible writers would be step #1 to bringing about Christ's return. "Love thy neighbour", "Blessed are the meek" or "Do unto others" factor not one whit into Doc's vision of US/ME policy.
It's simply history lessons, not lack of compassion, that keep sane people from mixing religion and international relations.

And you're obviously clueless about love and commitment - the idea behind marriage is about waking up next to that women (who lost her figure) for the rest of your life - and then being buried in the same grave with her for all of eternity. After 31 years of marriage, I couldn't be happier.
By the way, the kids grew up and moved out, I paid off the mortgage and all of the rest of my debt (including college loans), and now my wife and I are quite well off.
I don't need anyone to mow my lawn, or I'd probably hire you. I'm sure that you need a job.

The Democrats continue to isolate and piss off the religious right, by doing everything that they can to remove God from the public eye. Religious tenets against adultery and sodomy are openly flaunted by the left - waved like a bloody flag.
Excepting the extremists, the religious right was silent until recently, but gay marriage, Hollywood morals, and `the Politically Correct crusade against Christianity has mobilized them.
I'm not a religious man, but I do hold those religious tenets I learned as a child near and dear - and there are a lot like me out there - and they're becoming morally outraged at the direction the left is trying to lead the country.
