it depends if you want to call him a pg because he's really a shooting guard. james harden is the best guard in the nation, but curry is starting to get up there as he continues to impress.

the 2 best current pg prospects are playing overseas, and thats even if you count curry as a pg. ricky rubio is #1, and jennings is #2 (was supposed to go to zona but picked playing overseas instead).

Not best PG. Best player that plays PG. Best PG in the country is J-Flynn. But maybe I am biased.

Johnny Flynn
Darren Collison
Ty Lawson

Ty Lawson is the best PG, but Curry is the best scorer in the nation.

Can't agree here. I think Lawson really succeeds because othe players around him. Not saying he isn't one of the top 3 PGs in the country.

However, I would take Johnny Flynn over Lawson. Flynn is this great and he has to overcome the coaching of Jim Boehim.

Lawson is the fastest player in the country as anytime he can sprint down the court for a quick basket and when he got hurt last year UNC wasn't the same team. Flynn takes too many wild shots and I wouldn't classify him as a PG as he doesn't make players around him better like Lawson does.

Flynn just wants to jack 3's, and honestly, I've yet to see him make Syracuse better as a team.

Lawson makes UNC go, not UNC makes Lawson go. You got your argument ass backwards.

Love the convo boys...Lawson is somewhat a product of his environment however roy williams always sculpts his point guards into something of beauty. He recruits fast point guards yes but the pace of play is what is really the key to a williams point guard....Lawson has been around long enough to learn that and this year he has eliminated most of his silly turnovers. Best PG imo

Curry is an amazing player just like most of you have said, however i agree he is a 2 man. Davidson learned their lesson from the kansas game last year. They need the ball to be in his hands as much as possible that is why they moved him to PG. Great scorer and very very smart overall player however not in the top ranks of pgs.

Flynn is a great PG and it is hard to argue that he is not the best but i will try. PG is an interesting positions because it comes down to what you want from them. Do you want a scoring point guard or do you want one who is primarily a distributer who takes care of the ball. Personally i want one who controls tempo and makes FTs. I think flynn looks to shoot first and you don't want that from a PG or you face the Allen Iverson effect.

This is getting really long but and i'm biased but i go lawson, flynn, pargo then collison

AJ Price was an All-American last year, although at this point, he's not all the way back from his torn ACL. I expect he will be by season's end.

to say Johnny Flynn is a shoot first point guard, and is out of control is ridiculous. I have watched every single minute of his college career, and have followed him throughout high school where he played with Paul Harris at Niagra Falls. Last season Syracuse needed Flynn to score because they had nobody else. This season he scores when Syracuse needs a bucket. Bohiem wants the ball in his hand and to take shots when they needed. He is also the best on ball defender in the country. He is soley responsible for changing the mind of one of the most stubborn coaches in the country. For Bohiem to change his philosophy, and go out of his zone defense, for what he will go down in history for is a true testament to his individual defensive abilities. He is also the most explosive pg in the country. He is barely 5'10 and he just elevates and dunks ON you. He is an excellent 3 point shooter, as well as a driver of the basketball enabling him to get to the free throw line. I don't know how anybody doesn't see his sick passing abilities either? Plus this kid has hit so many big shots in his first 40 games its crazy. I think he has 5 game winning, or game tying shots, to go along with another handful of clutch shots when the game was in question. Ask Chris Paul I think he will agree with me as well. Over the Summer he attended the Chris Paul point guard camp where Flynn was dominating the competition. It was reported that Paul pulled Johnny aside and told him he was the best pg at the camp, and he looks forward to playing against him in a few years.

Austin Johnson

very solid pg. just what type of pg the Sooners need to make a deep run. He looks to get others involved, and NEVER takes a bad shot. However when he does he has the ability to knock down the 3. Excellent assist to turnover ratio as well.
