After 2 months of worrying sweating, cussing, pissing off wife, and breaking the wall, I am up a whopping $43.05. This really pisses me the fvk off, cuz time is very valuable and I have wasted a shiit load of time trying to cap, read, and study, and check out other cappers and touts.

Well you may say just be glad you're not down, and I say then why the fvk do we do this? Is it fun? Is it just a hobby? Noone is makin much doing this as the very best cappers hope to hit 60%, so it must be for the hell of it.

I hope I get over this betting sports shiit or chill out on it, cuz I have taken it way too seriously and sweated too many bullets to be up $43.05.

Smoke I hear ya man. I must admit that the beginning of this season has been one of the worst that i have had in a long time. I can't remember the last time that i started 0-4, in my 15 plus years of doing this. I know that sh*t happens. To try and stay positive about this is impossible. I have a good buddy that recently went off the deep end and tried to double or nothing on a teaser 2 weeks ago with the Packers and Chiefs, hell they both lost. 10 grand down the drain. Too many things about the game, especially re-play has hurt the game. I am sick of it. I think alot of others are too. The NFL has prided itself on being the #1 spectator sport in america but if they keep re-play going i think it will lead to a ratings demise. One last thing that i have witnessed and especially and concerned with is of course , is the officiating. Case in point today. I was watching the Jags and Colts game. Late 4th after Jags tied it at 17, colts were 3rd and 6 from the 27, jags blitz Darius up the middle blow up the play, 4th down right? Hell no! Flag on Jags for holding a receiver that is 50 yards away and isnt even in the play. That being said i think the NFL Officials are HORRENDOUS......Hell half the time they review something they comeback and make up something to say to cover their ass.....im sick of it and in a matter of time America will be too. Mark my words.

Venting,

Mighty

I think of it as a hobby that makes me money in return. Think of all the people spending money on their hobbies, hundreds, even thousands of dollars a year.

Betting makes life more interesting. Games are really fun unless I'm losing big early.

Relax a little and have fun. You're coming out ahead compared to other hobbies.

I have a very hard time understanding individuals that do not bet on sporting events.

I felt this way a year ago...was ready to quit, but didn't and I'm glad because I got it back in a big way....It takes time understanding to be patient and take the good with the bad...always keep your units close to the same, and enjoy the battle...

When you're betting on a game that you're watching you literally live and breathe every play and call. You're so in tune with the game that it helps you understand and strategize each play. It makes the game so much more enjoyable to watch assuming you can stomach the ups and downs.

It's definietly a challenge to "beat the system".

Win or lose it's all about the journey. Enjoy the highs, ride through the lows. If you find yourself always losing then maybe sports wagering is not for you....otherwise call the occasional big loss an entertainment expense and the occaisional big win as a bonus.

The day it turns from a hobby into "i have to make $ from this" it's no longer fun. I actually came to the realization of this as well when my wife kept asking why i am swearing so much watching games.

Holysmoke,

You may want to consider yourself lucky. Let's say you had won $4,350. For the rest of your life you would wonder when the hell things were going to get "normal" again. Now you know what normal is.

No need to sweat any of this stuff. What you win today is there for you to lose tommorrow. What you lose today you will win back tommorrow. Just don't try to win it back that night on the game in Hawaii.

You will surprise yourself with profitable spurts just when you are ready to quit. But knowing just that, you will never quit. And that feeling you get as kickoff or tipoff approaches...well lets say it will someday allow you to be an old man still psyching up in front of your locker like you might have done 40 years ago. Ain't nothin' better my friend cause in some strange way that's what its all about...the rush!! The money will come and go but the rush will always be there and it will keep you young.

BTW, thanks General for getting me up and running again.

You make a small bet to make it fun. Only bet what you can afford and that makes the games much more exciting. That way there will be no worrying, sweating, etc.

HolySmoke--Holyone!! Didn't anyone ever tell you. WAR IS HELL! And this ain't the church choir that you're fighting. Why everyday---you have to get in shape. Shape up or Ship Out---That's my motto. You have to Handicap. Easy for you to say. But it's dedication that makes it work.

Let's take Bodog for example--They work night and day to create special lines that only Superman can defeat. AND if he even does they mail out some cryponite. Man-you have to isolate yourself when in training--or handicapping. It's all or nothing. No hafl hearted efforts here. Up with the roosters--and to bed when the sun goes down. Working out 8 hours or more. Nobody ever siad this was going to be EASY. Hey how hard do you think Bodog had to work before they became one of the GREATEST BOOKS on earth? I mean just the mass mailings alone--took effort. And what about those girls in cheerleader outfits. They didn't find them in some library you know. They work--They study--They mail--it never ends.

But tha thrill of victory IS worth the energy!!

Don't giveup--Don't eva Give UP!:biglaugh:
