How the fvck you going to fight civilians

<DT>A US military column was completely wiped out in fierce fighting with Resistance forces according to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the town of al-Mundhiriyah, near the Iranian border, east of Ba'qubah. <DT> <DT>The correspondent, who was at the scene of the battle, wrote that a US column made up of eight vehicles came under Iraqi Resistance attack in the Jalabiyah area, known as the at-Tilal or hilly area, at 10pm Friday night. The Resistance fighters holed up in strongholds in the hills unleashed a sweeping attack on the US column, using missiles, pipe rockets, bazookas, and land mines that they had planted in the path of the American forces before their arrival. <DT> <DT>Four US tanks, three Humvees, and one armored vehicle were destroyed in the fighting that lasted two hours, the correspondent reported. He said that US dead were in excess of 60 men. An adjutant commander of the Iraqi border guards confirmed that the entire US column was wiped out. <DT> <DT>The correspondent wrote that the smell of blood and burning flesh pervaded the smoldering wreckage of the US vehicles and all the other remains of the large column. <DT> <DT>US helicopters arrived on the scene 20 minutes after the battle and began revenge attacks on the local people. The US aircraft rocketed four houses, killing 19 Iraqi civilians, including 11 women and children, according to the account of al-Mundhiriyah General Hospital. <DT> <DT>The Squadrons of Abu Dajjanah al-Ansari announced its responsibility for the attack that it called "the Battle of 'Khaybar is Ruined'." <DT> <DT>When the correspondent filed his report posted at 11:10am Saturday morning Mecca time, US forces had imposed curfew on al-Mundhiriyah since the early hours of the morning. The Americans arrested the local puppet police commander, charging him with helping what they referred to as "terrorists" - meaning the Iraqi Resistance. They have also prevented journalists from coming from the Provincial capital Ba'qubah to al-Mundhiriyah. </DT>

"general, the world was focked up before the iraq war and will be focked up after the war"

Agreed......we're not even mentioning OBL's name, and are we even bothering to hunt him down? Do we even have a clue as to which country he's in?

Still more useless talk about democracy in Iraq and in the middle east, and all the babbling about the insurgents losing strength and giving up the fight is clearly a myth considering how long we've been over there and the fighting has been steady ever since we set foot in Iraq.......

Bush wants another 70 or 80 billion dollars to continue the bloody game of whack-a-mole instead of admitting he made a grave mistake invading Iraq with no battle plan or exit strategy......that inability to admit his mistakes will insure that US troops will be dying until at least 2008....just tell the dead soldiers parents "We won, get over it". I'm sure they will understand.

Pump billions of dollars more into your sand and urban version of Vietnam, the results will be the same, the only thing left is to see how much money goes up in the bonfire and how many US troops die before saner thinking pulls the plug and allows the inevitable civil war take place in Iraq.

Tighten up the security back here in the states, the world has changed, terrorism is here to stay on this planet, this is the new truth for the new reality, deal with keeping the terrorists out of the country because Iraq and the Israel/Palestine saga are clear examples that terrorism cannot be eradicated.

marco who really cares in the country or any country for that matter about iraq, obl, middle east,israel/palestine.a majority of people in the usa wouldnt lose a wink of sleep if the whole middle east evaporated overnight.thats what gets me about these forums on world events and politics.a few people with a strong view for and strong views against, but the majority could care less.i wish it wasnt true but most people dont give a fock about someone they dont know.

this is a sad commentary on the typical mind set of most Americans...that have had the opportunity and previlige to live in what was the best country in the world. I guess America has reached its final peak when society stops caring and only cares about material things at the expense of the rest of the world....
I give Mike credit at least you were honest...and thats all I expect i guess now....

Maybe, but if that happens and they start walking every place they go, I dare say a lot of sleep will be lost. My question to you is, if you don't give a shlt, why do you post in the political forum? I know I wouldn't miss your prepubescent opinions.
