The weather is brutal in Green bay. They mentioned a 100 times what Favre's record is in the cold and the line actually dropped on the Packers.

What's the dealio?

Weather forecasts are calling for the temperature to dip into single digits during the game with wind chills between minus-10 and minus-20 degrees. Brett Favre has a 38-1 record in all home games — regular season and playoffs — in which the temperature at kickoff is 34 degrees or colder.

jacksonville is a solid club. No surprise to see them beat up on GB today.

I agree the Jags are good but their playing in Green Bay today.
In the past 5 years GB's record SU at Lambeau has been the following:
November 8-1 (lone loss coming the first weekend of 2001)
December 11-0
January 2-1 (loss to Atlanta in the playoffs)

Green Bay's advantage at home is immense, especially straight up. You have to go back to 1999 the last time they lost at home in December.

Moneyline play?

the Jags D is capable of winning games by themselves, but it is EXTREMELY difficult for southern teams to adapt to the extreme cold

the line reflects these things(bear in mind even my grandma knows about GB / Favre's cold weather prowess):

AFC superiority over NFC:

Jack, even though from warm weather, has the style of play on both sides of ball conducive to persevering on bad weather conditions(their style is more an nfc/afc NORTH division combatant..

if the Under(due to bad weather) is likely, the lower the fave spread should be....

I don't get the correlation between people betting under because of bad weather. It's never been an automatic since i've been gambling.

Even the famous "Ice Bowl" had 37 points.
