I think I play less hands than I should....but when in doubt, folding allows me to play another hand....losing chips puts me on tilt.

yes call see the flop, know why your playing and gauge the hand. u catch a pair id call first bet then think second time depending on the player. u get straight or flush draw maybe he checks to you second time and tries to trap you with a set (happened the other day to me) well next card was my flush needless to say i won big that hand. gotta play those hands then gauge and call the first bet if u catch a pair with no overs. they could have low pp and get scared off then u check out or u could even improve. as could he but a second strong bet might scare me depending on the player involved and how they have been playing.

half price call it. in your position i will call these bets over and ace jack even ace queen unsuited. many more options at winning hands but you have to know why you are playing it dont get cute trying to raise or bluff. just play ur hand. know going in pre-flop you are probably weaker. even can bet it (small) after the flop with a good draw or a pair then no raise well then you know you can probably see the river 75% of the time. which is what you want. pay a little but could get much much more in return you. its gambling for a reason remember that also. aces lose alot.

after the flop:

all in- throw it away

over bet in this situation he missed, wants u to think he caught and is betting you out from chasing. i.e. 5000

big bet hes gauging u on the flop but has his something i.e. 2000-3000

no bet hes scared, or trying to trap you. either way no bet=free card

top 50 and probably gonna cash. cant beat that. id be a lil more aggressive but it also depends on who raises and what type of player i consider them.

good luck hope u cashed bigggggggggggg

you obviously play good to get to this point - but this is same as last tourney... you let yourself gdet dangerously low....

especially when the antes kick in you have to open your shoving range

at this point, even though blinds are huge, I'm looking to double up

i think its way too tight and weak to be folding those type of hands for min raises...i mean honestly even as bad as people play the pick up on things like that...so im not surprised the people 2x your BB a lot more then 3x it because you seem to be laying it down regardless..

you need to open up ur game a lil bit more and start taking some flops or reraising people...especially when the cutoff min raises ur blind its awfully weak to muck qj suited there...he's definitely got a stack where u can resteal without him being committed as well

either way im not sure what i would do but no way i fold first spot....second spot is more player dependent since he is more in early to mid position and folding is OK

You had $28,000 in chips and you have JQ suited in the big blind, and someone raised double your big.... and you folded? WOW.... I atleast see a flop with that hand.

yeah....i had a feeling the fold (at least the suited) was weak....(hence this thread)

I think the reason I fold these is because I don't know what to do with them post flop.....if I hit a top pair, is it good or am I out-kicked, if I get middle pair (maybe AJ3 flop) am I good?.....if I flop 4 to the flush, do I chase? same with the straight.

basically, my post-flop play with these kinds of hands aren't strong enough to let me make this call confident I can win a good amount later in the hand.....and I'm not pushing with this.
