As we become old farts and can afford to buy nice shit we begin to hate thievery. But who here has never stole a BMX bike from the neighborhood when they were in grade or junior high school shall be allowed to cast the first stone.

yeah and I stabbed a person too cuz he had on a blue bandana...i mean who hasnt done that in their neighbor'hood' at one time or another

Seems like someone is scoping your houses out. I mean, they are stealing lawnmowers in broad daylight & what kind of re-sale value is there for these things anyway?

Also, Hosnatcher, why do you think everyone was stealing bikes & what not when they were younger?

In the town I grew up in it had a bike and horse trail so bike thievery was at a real high amongst the kids. If you leave your bike on your yard for 5 minutes to run inside to go take a piss it was gone just like that. That is how one of mine got stolen. I think all of the parents banned together and told their kids if you do not lock your bike up and take care of it they will not buy you a new one. So pretty much the unwritten rule was if somebody steals your bike then you steal somebody elses. We were all riding around stolen bikes. After my bike was lifted I took another kids bike and then my careless ass got it stolen from me from the bike cages at the school trying to get by with a pretend dummy lock. After that I used a skateboard for my transportation.

I think surf boards and boogie boards were high theft items in my younger days too. The older high school kids used to drive up and down every cul-de-sac just looking for an opened garage door so they lift somebody's surfboard.

As for the posters that said they never stole a bike when they were a kid there are a hundred other posters here that did steal a bike and opted not to comment. I guess not everybody when they were younger stole chrome tire pressure caps off of cars or hood ornaments or took Christmas light bulbs off of peoples houses to break in the street.

good chance its a he...smokes weed..and voted for Obama

I'd argue with you, but then I recall the campaign rally for President Obama held in this area last year. Hundreds of men sitting on pretty nice bicycles and everyone toking like Tommy Chong.

Never stole anything unless you count the pack of gum I lifted from the video store when I was four - my mom saw it later, wore my ass out with a belt, and made me give it back. I can't help but believe that if more people were raised this way we would be better off.

I got the belt myself when I was younger & now a days they would call it abuse, I call it discipline. I dont think I got abused at all. Now a days parents are too lenient with their kids.

Clearly, more beatings are called for if we want to assure a better future for all Americans

I cut lawns on the side during the summer for some extra cash. Just bought a real nice gas powered trimmer, was in the back of truck parked in a clients driveway. I was on the side yard cutting the grass and these assholes jumped out of their car, ran up the driveway and snatched my trimmer, by the time I saw what was going down they were flying down the street. Got no license plate, just a description. Who wants to guess if the cops ever found em

There is nothing worse than a thief, period. Every human being lies at some point but not all steal anothers property. The nature of the thief is as low as it gets. The modern day thief has it in their twisted mind that they are righteous in stealing if one is so 'stupid' to let their guard down and allow him the opportunity to pilfer in the first place.. Trust me I have heard more than a few of these conversations.
