Im not so sure there are many others DELSOL, but as my friend Journeyman knows, I haven't layed a wager in almost 3 weeks now. Has nothing to do with money and definitely not losing as I stopped after a 7-1-1 week in the NBA. Actually a long story, trying to make some changes in my life that the majority on here do not understand,agree with, or even believe in.....lol
However, it's very difficult for one who has followed, played, and loved sports their entire life, although very possible. No doubt in my mind I could go without laying another wager the rest of my life, even though I don't actually "want" to stop.......

Thanks for your response. I admire you for taking control of your life. Well done!

I once heard that the NFL would not be as popular or watched if no one placed wagers on the games. I cannot believe that. I will be just as excited if the Eagles win even though I have no money down. I will watch the whole game and cheer during good plays.

Am I nuts???

In addition, I get motivated watching Sports Center when I work out in the gym. The top ten plays or the highlights from the past weekend are what I need to lift harder. I guess I use the games to help me in other ways.
