Rainbow,
I have nothing to prove. I am not a liar either. I will not disclose the book for you to give me more credibility. I have my reasons for that. I was just making a comment to Shrinks thread. But, I appreciate your interest in my statement. No hard feelings.
Allow me to expand for a moment. I was living in the US and had an opportunity to work at a book for 2 months in 2000 as favor for a friend of mine. I am a great telemarketer and sales force trainer and had the desire to live here. I worked my balls off to understand betting, the lingo and what it would take to properly talk to gamblers. It was just another sales job in a new profession. I wanted to stay and did what it took to be the best at the position. Costa Rica sure beats Philadelphia! I love it here.
The reason I became addicted to the prescription and a few other sites is because I enjoy and became used to reading opinions about games. If you check most of my posts, it is not gambling related. I like to bs about chicks, JJGold or anything that a non gambler may find amusing. I am far from a gambling expert. I was given an invitation to the party, that's all.
Now, to answer the question about seeing and hearing too much. Well, most guys have seen a friend or two fall into the trap of losing a lot of money and what happens. We read threads on this topic all of the time. I worked at a book that had a large amount of volume so I was able to speak with many gamblers who sent funds daily, weekly and monthly without a payout. They would complain, cry and beg for a bonus or break. I heard kids in the background asking daddy a question while they were making a deposit or a husband speaking softly in the bathroom so the wife couldn't hear. Sometimes a wife would know that a book was calling and beg us to stop the husband from playing because it was ruining their lives. Sad stuff. I would follow certain accounts of losers and wonder why they keep playing. I didn't have the option of cutting them off. That was not my decision and frowned upon by the boss.
The stuff I saw was crazy. The ones who own the books and gamble have a very stressful lifestyle. smoking, drinking, drugs, very long hours, no social life(except for the Del Rey) and a personality that is flat out mean and introverted. Guys losing their cars over a bet, fighting friends over the frustration of a game, crazy stuff. In addition, employees paying back their debts by working for free and having to eat only Mcdonald's specials since they could not afford anything else. Great guys losing their pride. I do not think that I am telling you anything that you have not already seen with fellow gamblers. I just happened to be in a hot spot for books and saw this on a daily basis for 12 hours a day for many years. no joke!
I enjoyed my time at the book and it was the only way to keep me here, nothing more. I am not saying that I am a big shot in the industry, but those who have sat in one of my training classes or heard me pitch and rip an account can verify that I am the real deal.
Thanks for your attention to my response.
