or at least demoted to recruit specialist? I cant think of one move he has made that looked good or turned out allright, yet I can think of countless mistakes. Can anyone make an argument for him?

he should never have been hired to run an offensively minded team...worse hire in years...first week on job as head coach at one of the top programs in the country says of the offense "we are going in another direction" moron

One reason not to fire him:

He needs a job.

yes, great game plan coming in, without that its blowout from the start...
good recruiter and great surrounding coaches
strong and zaunbrecher

but i agree some of his calls are baffling.
2 point conversion at 16-10 was absurd

I played at LSU when Coach Zaunbrecher showed up there.....I wouldn't advise keeping him. I like the idea of hiring Neuheisel as the off. coordinator with the condition that he understood he would never be the head coach.

Bad hire. Not sure what Fla admin. was thinking? Didn't Spurrier fire this guy as an assistant? What? he wasn't good enough to be an assistant but is good enough to be head coach their?

I used to call Zook "the stuttering prick", named after Joe Pesci's admonition to "Spider" in Good Fellas. Remember?

However, I'm temporarily off the fire-Zook bandwagon.

He's an outstanding recruiter and has surrounded himself with great coaches, Charlie Strong being my favorite, and Zaunbrecher, aka "The Great Satan" my least. LSUPete knows what he's talking about.

There were several reasons for the loss to Miami. The biggest, IMHO, was the Gators were simply exhausted in the fourth.

Remember we're talking about a very young team who arguably were mentally and physically spent after playing their asses off for three quarters.

I was remain very encouraged by our inspired play in a hostile environment against a hated rival who is more battle-trained than we.

Beat Tennessee!!!
