I am trying to find just one game I really like...last night it was Charlotte, and luckily hit Philly too. Tonight, I just think Portland should be the play. They are playing at home, and even though they are without Brandon Roy, they should be able to grab a win. They beat Det by 11 the one and only time these teams met and that was in Det. It was Iverson's 12th game with Det, so its not like it was early in his tenure there. Roy had 19 that game, and I think the Blazers can pick up that slack. Aldridge was the star with 27.
Now, I understand the Pistons have won 7 straight, and Por shot less than 40 percent in their last two games, but they also beat Boston in their first game w/o Roy. They are more than capable of beating Det.
Other than that, I have no solid reasoning, and am not trying to convince anyone to play Portland. "Public," which often means very little, seems to like Detroit very much. Det has also been on the road since their game on Jan 4 vs. LAC. I'm sure they've been enjoying themselves.
Looking for reasons not to play Portland. Thanks.
