Is it worth buying 3 points in a NBA game?

Has anyone done the research that has tracked wins and losses that shows if it's worth buying the extra points or not?

Or is there a site or a way that I can go back and do some tracking on my own?

It would be, If you could buy unlimited half points at 10 cents each.... then buy 6+ full points....books charge more than 10 cents after a few.
