I think we found trouble, as it was. Do you remember dropping your pizza on the sidewalk and then continuing to eat it? Hilarious.

Agree ID, so true Rail.

BMs probably made out like bandits this week in general, but Wiseguys and Pros, if follow their general playbook and "played it blind" this past two weeks, would be 6-2 sides minimum, using a playbook that has produced consistently for ages.

Wild Card Weekend(All Dogs, Especially when Intra-Div "Live Dog Taking Plus" ) :

St.L.+ over Sea.. Intra-Div savvy Rams 2-0 reg season getting generous number vs twenty-year playoff winless drought team..Rams played Jets head-up yet still "let in"/Falcons played scrubs and totally "let in" Seahawks and it took shoutout.

NYJ+ over SD..Double-Digit win team getting TD..Jets a previous playoff year team getting points off newbie(4 to 10 win team in a year)..Herm over Schottenheimer..bad weather team taking pts in uncharacteristic bad west coast weather..7-1 public ratio on chalk.

Minny+ over GB..Intra-Div Minn 0-2(lost both by 3) getting 5 pts..Vikes back to early nineties form vs GB(Dennis Green era) behind Culpepper(had 8 TDs vs 1 Int ratio despite 0-2 mark this yr)..Sherman(1-3) last three playoff games with lone win a Seahawk gift-wrap job.

Indy- over Den..lone chalk cover of WC-Week..was a "rematch" of "laydown"..would Indy let Denver in if not licking chops to do same as did in '03's season finale and WC opener?..highest line of week..BMs offering Shanahan plus DDs, begging public to take Broncos.

WC Week Results:3-1 Dogs
Wiseguy Rule-Of-Thumb Playbook Results:3-1

Wiseguys and Sharps should've gone 4-0, 3-1, or 3-0 with a pass to Indy-Den for sides, and if I could look over Billy Baxter's shoulder at his sheet, I would bet it graded one of the three options above.

Divisonal Round:

NYJ+ vs Pitt..Generous number in battle of two 10-plus winners in AFC, that played tough game a month ago until late Steeler salt-away..Steelers history under Cowher of playing tight as chalk last ten years..Heavyweight vs. Heavyweight

Atl- over St.L..Laying TD by rested for month Falcs over Ram that went OT @ home vs Jets(and still took a "LET 'EM IN")=Wk 16 Rule(If have to win in in last reg season week it was your playoff win)=lose soon!, yet was Intra-Div dog for WCG, then pushed to goalline at Seattle=tired..9-8 teams have to die violent deaths.

Philly- over Minny..Lone dominant NFCer that won by 14 avg before TO injury..rested for a month..Minny=Wk 16 Rule=take only as/if Intra-Div Dog in WC, then copper/fade..Reid over Tice..must die same violent death as above.

NE- over Indy..Heavyweight vs Heavyweight..but heavy action for Dog..big rest for best record/Best team..bad weather & iced-earth grass team vs fast-track indoor squad(indoor vs. outdoor history also applicable here)..great D vs great O rule..Brady's vs Manning's playoff marks..HC edge.

Div-Rnd Results:3-1 Favs
Wiseguy Rule-Of-Thumb Playbook Results:3-1

If only I was a fly over the shoulder of BW, BB, or Cowboy, I'd possibly see some 2-2's or 3-1's to sides, but shouldn't see any one-or-O-fers?

Two Week Wiseguy Rule Of Thumb Playbook Sides Totals:6-2

With totals being a total crapshoot, yet both NYJ games, and Indy-NE in snow weather, having Wiseguy "Under" Modus Operandi written on all three.

Meant GB's Sherman now 1-3 in last FOUR playoff games..Vick rout at GB two years ago..Seattle's gift-wrap-job win last year ON ROAD..then GB's waiting all day until Philly could finally take lead last year=queer!..then Culpepper's imitation of Vick domination at Lambeau.

Books are doing fine, they have things in place now that prevent any runs on the bank

one book which got thrashed

I reckon Mansion had a poor weekend. First up I took the Jets at +9.5 evens for a decent bet. I am basically a dog bettor in the main and expected a close contest.

But the one I really couldn't understand was the Pats-Indie line. Why this line moved so heavily when the main change between opening and closing was the weather getting worse was beyond me. I wanted to get on the Pats all week but decided to let the wall of money for Indie take its course and back them just after the start of the first game.

So I just pounded Mansion at +105 for New Eng to win straight up. Wobbled a bit when I saw guys like Shrink coming out of the woods on Indie and decided to lay off much of it. Got +110 on indie with a UK book which most probably was seeing a lot of action for the Pats.

A nice NFL weekend for me, but the Mansion was a crumbling ediface this weekend. Having said that, one of my friends who is basically just a scalper can't win a bet there.

Now, The Conference Finals and following SB are usually a mixed bag and do not follow set rules(except the public generally wins SBs over the sharps usually, but not the last 7 years of which live SB dogs ruled), relying more on matchups, familiarity, and weather/style-of-ball.

My hunch is that the public will bet both Finals like "Groundhog Day" & "Same Time Next Year"..IE..New England always wins & Philly always loses on this exact Sunday each January.
