Democrats are now pushing to protect pedophiles under
the stupid "hate crimes" bills.

There is now an opportunity like no other to answer the critics with courage and conviction and initiate a filibuster against one of the most heinous bills in history – "the Pedophile Protection Act" (S. 909).
H.R. 1913, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (so-called "hate crimes" bill), which just passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 249-175, is a bill that would not only criminalize speech, but also give heightened protection to pedophiles. No kidding. And it's about to be railroaded through in the U.S. Senate (with a possible vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee tomorrow!) unless it's stopped.
The bill was introduced on April 28 in the U.S. Senate as S. 909. Violating equal justice under the law, the bill adds "sexual orientation" to a list of extra-protected groups under federal law.
It may be weeks or months before the battle over the Minnesota Senate seat may swear in comedian Al Franken – and tip the scales completely in favor of an unchecked congressional mob rule. That means now – right now – Republicans and sensible Democrats have a single chance to stop it.
If the Senate were ever going to stand and fight, that time is now.
I've written extensively about how this bill would criminalize Christianity and turn those who disagree with the homosexual agenda into felons, but criminalizing Christianity is just the beginning of what this bill would do. It would also elevate pedophiles as a special protected class – since the term "sexual orientation," which has been added to the "hate crimes" legislation, includes them in the American Psychiatric Association's definition of various "sexual orientations" (30 of these APA "sexual orientations" are listed in a fact sheet provided by the Traditional Values Coalition).

It was rejected. Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert's response in committee clarified what that means:
There are only 242 crimes where there is actually some – truly – an assault, and we just rejected an amendment to including pedophilia from being a part of this protected class. Do you realize what that means?
If a mother hears that their child has been raped and she slaps the assailant with her purse, she is now gone after as a hate criminal because this is a protected class. There are other protected classes in here. I mean simple exhibitionism. I have female friends who have told me over the years that some guy flashed them, and their immediate reaction was to hit them with their purse. Well now, he's committed a misdemeanor, [and] she has committed a federal hate crime because the exhibitionism is protected under sexual orientation.
I know my friend said that we have a definition in the law, but there is nothing in this bill that references the definitions in the Hate Crimes Statistical Act … it's not there. We asked that it be added so we could get a specific definition. It is not there.
And having reviewed cases as an appellate judge, I know that when the legislature has the chance to include a definition and refuses, then what we look at is the plain meaning of those words. The plain meaning of sexual orientation is anything to which someone is orientated. That could include exhibitionism, it could include necrophilia (sexual arousal/activity with a corpse). … It could include urophilia (sexual arousal associated with urine), voyeurism. You see someone spying on you changing clothes and you hit them – they've committed a misdemeanor; you've committed a federal felony under this bill. It is so wrong.
Rep King also spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives and pointed to the American Psychiatric Association list of another 547 different "Paraphilias" that will be protected under the "hate crimes" bill. This, he said, would provide a mass of "sacred cows" in our society, which includes pedophiles who would be given elevated protection giving "the offender" an additional decade behind bars.
Then, shockingly, Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., agreed and admitted that this bill will protect all 547 forms of sexual deviancy or "Paraphilias" listed by the APA. Here's what Hastings said on the House floor:
This bill addresses our resolve to end violence based on prejudice and to guarantee that all Americans regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability or all of these 'Philias' and fetishes and 'isms' that were put forward need not live in fear because of who they are. I urge my colleagues to vote in favor of this rule.
Apparently, Hastings has absolutely no problem with sexual deviants, including pedophiles, getting an elevated level of protection.
And now, they're going to try and ramrod this bill through without hearings like they did two years ago. That must not happen again. Here's the action we must take: First, demand a hearing. Then, demand a filibuster. Given that the Minnesota seat has not yet been resolved, this may be our last chance to use this vital tool. We already know that President Obama has pledged to sign this, so a filibuster in the Senate is truly our last and only chance to stop it.
Call your two U.S. senators right now at 202-225-3121. Then I recommend you Fed Ex another message to them. Perhaps something like this:
Dear Senator:
If there were ever a time for you to stand and fight, it is now. In addition to criminalizing speech, S. 909, "The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act," gives an elevated level of protection to pedophiles (as was demonstrated in the House version) and must be stopped.
We are counting on you to stand against this with a filibuster.
If you won't stand to fight a bill that provides pedophile protection, just what will you filibuster? Hearings to expose this dangerous bill must also take place before any vote is taken.
Please respond to me regarding whether you will stand and filibuster the pedophile-protecting Federal Hate Crimes Bill, S. 909, and insist on Judiciary hearings to debate this very dangerous freedom-threatening legislation.

Speaking out against the homosexual agenda could also make you a felon if you are said to influence someone who pushes away that unwelcome advance.
