Nothing to do in CR? I have one day off week also. Last week went to tabacon for 2 nights. Week before went surfing in hermosa. You can drive to either cost in several hours, you can go to a canopy, go rafting, go on a hike. There a millions of things to do here. You only have to blame yourself for being bored. Im from chicago yeah I miss going to hear live blues any night of the week. But there isnt shit to do in the states compared to here. Get off you ass and get out and enjoy the country...

Get a guitar, or a wii, or a bag of chronic. Dig a horseshoe pit in your backyard or adopt a fucking kitten. Order some books, put a woodshop in your garage. Grow some dope, or fuck more or something.

In order to live free and happily you must sacrifice boredom. It is not always an easy sacrifice.

I always agree with that, people are bored because they allow themselves to be.

It is true though, costa rica doesn't have as many diverse entertainment options as other countries, and a lot of the options that do exist are inconvenient, overpriced, or just plain difficult... sunset at 5:30 is a big downer too.

Hell one of my favorite things to do is race at the Go Karts in Curridibat, except that it's a 45-90 minute drive for me depending on the time of day (and only like 10km away, wtf?). There's festivals, amusement parks, and water parks, except that they are either so packed that it's not that much fun, or they close them because there's not enough people there to justify keeping them open.

Beach town prices are going nowhere but up, a weekend at the beach used to be a cheap fun thing to do, now there aren't many places to go without getting the tourist shaft.

No wonder I spend most of my free time drinking and gambling.

I agree, San Jose is getting boring, besides drinking there is not much to do here. And with the new law, you cannot even drink more than 3 beers and drive home....

Missing you getting off your ass, if all you like is drinking than that is your own fault not CR's. I know plenty of people who keep theirselves entertained without a bottle in their hands or a hooker on their lap. I also I know plenty who are more than content with the afore mentioned in their possession.

I'm looking some ideas too... It's not that there isn't anything to do, it's that anything interesting is a huge royal pain in the ass. The only thing that isn't more trouble than it's worth that I can find is golfing.
