So we ALL know the IRS is full of shit. If not, you are a liberal hack. Found this article, pretty interesting. Not backing the source as I have never heard of him, but the facts he is posting remain nonetheless.

The IRS Had a Contract With an Email Backup Company

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) said it can't provide emails sent between 2009 and 2011 that were requested by congressional investigators because of hard drive crashes.
The agency said that emails stored on dead drives were lost forever because its email backup tapes were recycled every six months, and employees were responsible for keeping their own long-term archives.
The IRS had a contract with email backup service vendor Sonasoft starting in 2005, according to FedSpending.org, which lists the contract as being for "automatic data processing services." Sonasoft's motto is "email archiving done right," and the company lists the IRS as a customer.
In 2009, Sonasoft even sent out a Tweet advertising its work for the IRS.

The extent and exact details of the service that Sonasoft provided to the IRS aren't clear. But the company advertises its email archiving solution as "ideal for small and medium businesses, government agencies, school districts, nonprofit organizations using Microsoft’s Exchange Server." And a document posted on its website describing its services says that its system "archives all email content and so reduces the risk of non-compliance with legal, regulatory and other obligations to preserve critical business content."
Sonasoft connection and IRS contract details first noted on Morgenr's Twitter account.

All I know, as a business owner, we are required to keep ALL documentation for a minimum of 5 years. Receipts, tax returns, invoices, sales slips, electronic records, etc. I imagine the IRS, in all it's grandeur, is required at LEAST that and then some.

As to Ms. Lerner's behavior, consider that House Ways & Means Chairman Dave Camp first sent a letter asking if the IRS was engaged in targeting in June, 2011. Ms. Lerner denied it. She engineered a plant in an audience at a tax conference in May 2013 to drop the bombshell news about targeting (maybe hoping nobody would notice?). She has subsequently asserted a Fifth Amendment right to silence in front of the only people actually investigating the affair, Congress. Now we learn that her hard drive supposedly defied modernity and suffered total annihilation about 10 days after the Camp letter arrived. Is there something in those lost emails? The fact that they are "lost" at all probably answers that question.

Someone explain to me how a hard drive crash erases e-mails?

Answer: It doesn't.

Assuming the IRS doesn't operate their IT differently than, oh, I don't know...the rest of the world, E-mails are stored on a server. Even if you download your inbox to your hard drive on Outlook, the mail will all still be stored on a server so it can be synced up every time you connect.

Lois Lerner could have thrown her hard drive into a volcano, and her e-mails should still be easily recoverable from the server. This is all smoke and mirrors bullshit.

The administration in general and the IRS in particular are relying on the naïveté of the 47% to wait this out.

They can stonewall, evade, duck, dodge and otherwise simple ignore anyone and everyone who make this an issue.

And when you have the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the United States of America in your back pocket it’s all doable.

I think that IRS hid those emails and that was wrong and bad. They should be put into a jail

or something and get no bonus checks imo!

Hmm, I posted at least 3 times my outrage over this in a duplicate thread about this. I guess you must have missed that in your dot connecting enterprise, and childish libtard nonsense, which puts you at the level of Wrong Way, not a good place to be if you have a brain and some common sense. This place has 2, maybe 3 moderates/left of center regular posters. One of them(me) has expressed outrage at this canard by the IRS, before most of you righties did, by the way. So what are you asking again?

Issa: Lois Lerner Attacked Conservatives On Obama’s Behalf

“Could it lead to political operatives of the president? Yes,” Issa stated, noting that his investigation is being “stymied.”

Issa also noted that the IRS did not seriously look into emails Lerner exchanged with the White House and did not look into emails from Obama political operative David Axelrod.

Issa will grill Koskinen Monday night at 7 p.m. in an Oversight hearing on Lerner’s computer crash and missing emails from IRS officials.

Libtard is a made up, stupid word overused by low information idiots like Wrong Way. I'm a moderate, left of center on most issues, right of center on some. There's no such thing as a libtard, so no libtard can possibly answer your question. I answered your question because I'm a moderate and in your own childish way, you were asking for those that aren't part of the extreme right wing circle jerk in here to answer. I did. It blew your narrative, so now you are stuck on libtard.

Everyone on here knows you are not a moderate. Why did you answer the question about where the libtards are. If you don't know what a libtard is or deny their existence why even post on this thread. You blow but not my narrative, you simply blew it in general. Libtard is a legitmate word and everyone on here knows who and what it refers to. I have no childish ways except to toy with pseudo moderates as well a libtards. So easy to do.

You actually think Libtard is a real word? That explains ALOT. What you extreme right wing circle jerkers know, and what are actual facts are 2 very different things.

Actually that's not entirely correct at all. Many companies do not store e-mails on backup servers because of how extensive that can become. Some might keep a certain date range, but generally it's stored on the hard drive by the email software they use. The fact the IRS doesn't store emails on a backup server throughout the history of the IRS is strange, but it definitely is not uncommon for companies not to store e-mails on their own servers or backup servers because of the cost.

You have been consistent in your criticism of this situation. You deserve credit.

Thanks. I can't imagine anyone with any integrity, that isn't just a political hack, buying that the IRS cannot access these E Mails using backup Microsoft systems since they were supposedly on Outlook, the NSA, or other backup sources. At least there is some documentation that Lerner did report her crash back in 2011, so they didn't just make it up out of thin air, but that's not enough. This needs to be fully investigated.

She reported one, hmm I wonder why, and the timing was quite a coincidence. Thin air is what fills your skull. You think it should be investigated now that there are no emails, how convenient. Get real moderate one.
