Irony?

The other day I caught a piece of one of Bush2's recent radio addresses on CNN. He was talking about the recurring attacks on U.S. soldiers since he declared heavy combat to be over. He was saying something to the effect of, we are taking strong measures to detain these "criminals".

The use of the word "criminal" was what stuck out. I'm no supporter of Iraq nor religious fanatics. However if a person's country has recently been attacked, invaded, and taken control of by a foreign military, isn't there some irony in calling that person a "criminal" for resisting that foreign invader.

Ok Out,

So if the global community decided that Bush2 were a tyrant that should be ousted, you would be a criminal for resisting their attack?

Just think kaya, if you were in Iraq right now you could be fined up to US$ 1,000.00 and imprisoned for up to one year for speaking out in question of the American government in a forum.

What I can't figure out about the vacuous ones here, is this: do they think that this particular brand of liberty we are anally raping the Iraqis with would be welcomed here? And is the sort of thing that is happening to Iraqi protesters right now the sort of thing they think should happen to Americans who speak out against the government?

And then I have to wonder why, because that is an even more counter-American viewpoint than anything the traitorous, treacherous Bush has expressed. It makes me wonder if these types, who call themselves "conservatives" but act like anything but.

Yeah JackDee,

With out's two incredibly well thought out, eloquently simple no's, to each question, we not only have irony on this thread but hypocrisy as well. Lol.
