Ytd 34-17, Lets get to some NIT:

Notre Dame -5, They are playing at home, they are pissed they did not get into the tourney (they should be in, Air Force out), the Irish have been very good over the past month, Purdue is falling apart, and............ its St. Patrick's Day, how can you not go with the Irish, this spread should be -15 just for the game being in South Bend on St. Patrick's Day. I know if I was a student at N.D. I would be fired up

I worry that motivation might be on the low end because this team was so good a times during the season.

They are certainly capable but who knows if they had guiness for breakfast....

freak nasty,

I would be real careful on this game. I went to Purdue and I want to share the circumstances surrounding this one. I agree Notre Dame is the better team but for many years, Notre Dame has been afraid to schedule Boilers. Basically, they have run from playing Boilers in basketball as a way of not allowing Purdue to beat them due to football dominance for many years by Irish. The motivation lies with Purdue here as Keady has been around to experience the cowardness of Irish Athletic Department. This game will definitely stay under the number and Purdue may win straight up. Committee did not do the Irish any favors matching them up with Boilers. Just a heads up. Best of luck as I know you won't rethink your pick but this is some information I hope you use to cut down on your play.GL.

Jaypaw- I think the Irish will be out to prove they should be in the big dance. I heard coach Brey discuss the teams status Sunday during the selection show and he said that they were disappointed, but as a team had been prepared over the previous week to play in the NIT, he was happy they were even in a position to be a bubble team, after the way the season started.

Kojak- I really appreciate the insight, it is nice to get another pespective from an insider who has been around and knows these two teams so well. Your comments will influence the amount of $$ I play tonight, thanks again.

Freak-I agree think the Irish will win this game handily, if Purdue could score over 60 points then I would be worried. I'm still pondering it as a play, might throw them in a parlay. Good Luck!

I went to Notre Dame, and yeah, St. Patrick's Day gets ugly, in a good way. No guarantees on the result, but it will be raucous......

Good luck Freak!! I'm on the Irish with you..I like it!! The line looks a little low for all of the hype of St.Patty's Day, but Irish should get it done at home. I think it'll be interesting and close in the 1st, but Irish pull away in the 2nd. Let's Ca$$........

Dont know about Notre Dame but at 10.30pm Im already pissed, which is normal. I'll have a few extra tonight seeing as its St Paddy's. Im finding these play-offs confusing but will no doubt lump on something I will regret tomorrow. Anyways, more important things to do at the moment, sheep running amok in the back field.
