Adil Abdul-Mahdi, one of the country's two vice presidents, estimated on Friday that 100,000 Iraqi families — 90 percent of them his fellow Shiites — had fled their homes to escape attacks by rival religious sects.

I mean, what have we got out of this ?

Infrastructure-fúcked
oil industry-fúcked
US Army-fúcked
Countrywide sectarian warfare
Places like Falluja-devastated
A trillion dollars down the crapper
Tens of thousands of dead Iraqis
Thousands of dead yanks

The whole area is just a big woodchipper....

Sooo. Who fancies liberating Iran next ?

To borrow Darryl Parsons's theory, maybe the next dog will be less inclined to take a dump on our front lawn?

To be fair, the dog analogy wasn't mine. The analogy I always use is the hornet nest in your backyard. Sure, you can ignore it, for a while, having your friends over for bbqs all the time, but eventually, someone is going to get stung. That happened. The truth is, someone should have removed the whole friggin nest eons ago. Fingering the individual stingers misses the point, because as you know, the queen never does the dirty work.
