bought one for my son for X-Mas. Got the 16gb but I am questioning if I could have just got the 8gb. Difference is $75.
Anybody have one?? 16gb holds 3,500 songs and 20 hours of video--8gb hols half of that.
My son will NEVER have that many songs--but how much space will the video really take up??

yes i have one and I love it ...works great ..its a mini entertainment system in your pocket you can get audiobooks and tons of very cool games for .99-9.99 from itunes plus watch movies and listen to public radio and news stations

also works well for posting on the RX and you can log onto the greek and other sites and bet ....I logged into my account with ease ( though I have no money there ) but you can wager

its great

Until Apple makes a 100GB plus ipod touch I am stuck with my ipod classic. I have over 16,000 songs plus 1 movie and music videos and pictures. I want to sell my current 80GB that is fully loaded and get maybe the 120 GB or 160 GB.

When it comes to computers, I've always felt that you should buy as much memory and storage space as you can afford. For an additional $75, I think the 16gb is worth it. My iPhone is a 16gb and I only have a couple of gigs left on it. Can't wait til Apple releases the 32 gig version next year (I hope).

definitely stay with the 16gb. as mentioned, its better to have more than enough storage than not enough!

depends, but likely best sticking with the 16 gig..not a big diff in price. Apple has the worst return policy of any company (some stores have to follow this I know, some dont) 15 days and like a 10 or 15% restock surcharge.

I bought one right before they came out with the 2nd generation..ready to sell it. It's ok, just like my older classic ipod better as no need to get online or video with an ipod (got a laptop and a phone for getting online already).

generally the more memory the better, but you can get tons of hard drive space on a portable drive now under $99..so unless you need to keep more than 10 movies accessible, just buy the smallest and get a portable hdd

Got my 12 year sold the 16 gb. It is awesome. My computer blew up two weeks ago so I ended up stealing it for a week into my new computer came in. Hook that thing up to wifi and I was sitting in front of tv with live scores and was able to make bets on it.

Thanks guys
I have decided to keep the 16GB

--funny how people look at things. I was in Best Buy yesterday and a couple came in and were looking for "those things that play videos and music". I was waiting as they decided that the small ipod for $47 was TOO MUCH to pay for a rotten 12 year old. Funny how diff people view things.

the easiest way is to download them already premade for the ipod, then ya just load em on like you would a song and your good to go.

I have every season of Family guy on my ipod, couple audio books and a bunch of songs

All you need to do is open the Safari web browser.

I am reading that you need to have ITunes on the Touch. So can you still download music on your home computer and transfer the songs onto the ipod touch like the old ipods?

You download movies and watch them.

But how do you do that? If you don't know by now.. don't bother.
