I was just checking around and found some interesting stories that could have a bearing on future Pac-12 play.

First of all, UCLA has signed 5 4* and 5* recruits for 2016. Linebackers and Athletes mostly.

Gary Andersen at Oregon State has been spending his recruiting resources heavily in the State of Florida.
Between Florida and Texas, the Beavers representation from across the country has never been so widely
spread out. It makes me wonder what Andersen is up to at OS. I am very curious to see what's different
about how he manages an offense that has been keyed around Riley's run game for eons. (Except when
Sean Canfield was given the whole offense to manage with an offensive line that couldn't rush block worth
a damn.)

I would say that Wisconsin's offense will show up in Corvallis. Don't know very much about it.

Wisconsin's offense is typical Big 10 "Three yards and a cloud of dust" offense. Run, Run, Pass, Punt. Wiscinsin was 1st in the Big 10 in rushing in 2014, and 11th in passing.

Andersen was only at Wisconsin for a cup of coffee , and i dont think Alvarez offered enough cream and sugar. lol . I would guess that Utah States offense would show up in Corvallis. ... which could also explain florida and texas recruiting.

Without looking, bet a beer Wisconsin's offensive line is an average of 25 pounds a man larger than Oregon State's offensive lineman.

The Badgers have traditionally had a huge, strong offensive front.

Big reason they have been successful running the ball.

A Wisconsin type O-line will not work in the Pac 12. They are simply too slow. Big? Yes. Slow? Very.

That puts an interesting spin on Andersen as the HC in Corvallis. Now I wonder who he might have in mind to step into some big shoes to fill at RB. Storm Woods will be a senior this season. He also has a pretty athletic WR that's 6'4" and weighs 240 lbs.

Second paragraph lost me. UCLA may have commitments for 2016 but I promise none have yet signed. Big difference. In recent years early commits like these sign with that school the next February at about a 60% rate. but interesting notes all the same

That's exactly what you're going to see from Anderson. He had TOTAL control at Utah State.....not so much at Wisconsin. He will need some athletes though. If he can have any sort of recruiting success I'm sure he'll do fine there. He's an excellent coach. I'm rooting for him (and Oregon State is "my" P12 team that I like to follow - one of my best buddies played DE there in the 90's).

I don't know about 2016, but the Bruins just signed 5 star RB Soso Jamabo out of Texas. The good news is the short horns won't get him. The bad news is neither will any other Big 12 team. Shortly after signing Jamabo tweeted "Asian Girls Everywhere...UCLA." How do you compete with Asian girls and beaches?

Fabulous... the Beavers are like little brothers that can come up and put the hurt on anyone when it's their time.

Oregon State will run first, then pass, especially since Mannion is gone. It is hard to see more than 4 or 5 wins for the Beavers. They will win two non-con games, and host Colorado, but they play Wazzu and Cal on the road. Their other crossover games are UCLA at home and games at Arizona and Utah.

Something is going on at Wisconsin with regards to AD Barry Alvarez. Football coaches don't seem to like his management style. Bret Bielema hasn't had anything good to say about Alvarez since heading to Arkansas. Then Anderson bails after one season. Where there's smoke there's fire.

I think that Alvarez still wants to be the "Top Man" at Wisconsin football and just wants a "yes man" for a Head Coach. I see Wisconsin football going nowhere until his archaic offense is gone.
