I am a little surprised Coach that he has popped up here now and again over the past couple of years as though there was nothing still unresolved. I wondered about that when I saw him but I didn't think beyond that or say anything. I know better now and I'll bring it up every time he shows his face. We are honorable people here and treat one another with fairness, not run from our obligations like low-lifers.
It's everyone's responsibility to call this kind of thing out when we see it and never allow it to happen if we can do anything about it. Insiders ripped you off when you placed a bet on his behalf in the Boise St./Oklahoma game and he lost the bet.
His excuse for not paying you is that you were not available for him to chase his action in the 2H of that game -- but if that was the case, he should have laid off his 2H action where he could and not expect you to babysit your telephone waiting for him. That was never your obligation and him claiming that it should have been is without any reason or validity. Why should you have doubled the credit limit you were comfortable with just because he lost a bet? He owes you for the action you graciously accepted from him and that's final.
Either he pays for his own gambling wagers and doesn't lay that off on a fellow forum member or he can face the consequences.
Go to Conan's post above your's to see the details. Thanks for asking. LT
Just for the sake of updating this BS where I know something...
Insiders was following my action most of last season while I was on a banner run hitting 70% ATS on the year... zero losing weeks too. MY WORST week I posted 7 out of 12 that were winners... that was my WORST week. I even hit 75% of my west coast bowl plays (6-2.) So my guess is that he made out like a bandit. Now what?
Not to brag or anything, but if that's what he was doing, he must have had plenty of money to cover you -- and as I have already asked, now what? It's not like the guy is short on cash. I can verify that based on his wins following my action.
FWIW, I bet I can pull it off again if that would help with a silver lining in any way. I could have asked people for a % of their winnings but I don't even want it. I ain't a pro and I don't want the responsibility or the obligations connected to that status. But I would like to see him pay you LT. The little focker.
