why did he take the field goal with 25 seconds left instead of running the clock out and holding the win.

i was on indiana +7 and the moneyline.

it would have been sweet if they blocked that field goal attempt and returned it for td

it wasn't for the boosters this time, they had 4th and 5 from the 21 yard line. The clock was stopped with .25 seconds left, if they ran the ball Indiana would have taken over down by 6 with .20 seconds left(the clock stops on a change of possession. Kicking the FG was the right decision, I hated though because I was on Indiana too.

Watched the entire game...not sure why ANYONE would NOT kick that FG.

As above poster said, the clock was stopped with 20-some seconds left and it was 4th down. If you run the ball or any play for that matter, the clock ticks off a few seconds. If you miss the first down, Indiana gets the ball and has a chance to WIN. Read that, WIN. Minny was only up 13-7 at the time. The FG wasn't just the right call, it was the ONLY call.

Pull your head out of your ass before you post bashing a coach when you are oblivious as to how to play the game.

you are correct. unless the coach can't run out the clock, which was the case in this game. minny coach did what he needed to. went up by two scores. sorry for your loss. get'm back this afternoon. :toast:
