Ace Ace...you started this for information right? Well I just read this off another site and wanted to pass this along. The guy who posted this is a newbie with only 6 posts so take it as it is. Just passing it along. I didn't report this just found it.

I live in Champaign Illinois and have a little info on the game to share. Luther Head is injured they are not sure if he is going to play tonight or not. No word has come from the university. I was at the open practice he did the shoot around but did no motion drills what so ever and he did have a noticable limp. Not sure if this is going to even mean anything but just wanted to share a little bit of info. Might be helpful to some

Brown had some teeth issues but those should be pretty much cleared up but I think Head twisted his ankle so .... Not sure if this is going to have an impact on the game.

Are you waiting for line movement or some other info from your books? The total did rise to 144 at my book. That is the only change so far. The line still at
illinois -10.5

This is all very interesting. My guess is that these rumors and "inside info" are all an effort to drive the line down and ensure an easy Illini cover.

The Dee Brown teeth stuff is very old news. This affected him during the Big Ten tourney. I think they have dentists in Champaign who have fixed the problem after two weeks. In fact, he was apparently fine last week. Head's sprained ankle is also pretty old news, isn't it? He was fine yesterday at shootaround wasn't he? There were dozens of media people there and not a peep from any of them about Head not practicing. Sounds like this guy with supposed inside info has been reading a newspaper that is two weeks old.....

I agree that the "news" has nothing to do with the game...because it's not actually "news" at all. That's why I'm so amazed at the amount of time and space devoted to discussing this "let's create a rumor" stuff as if it is meaningful.
