Leafs Fans--Is Wendell Clark worthy of having his number retired? He wasn't as good as Darryl Sittler, Bjore Salming or Leafs from pre-70's. Publicity stunt? Follow hockey closely, but just don't understand this, please explain.

It's like the White Sox retiring Harold Baines number, somewhat desperate. I would say it is the same as the Isles retiring Bobby Nystrom's number, but at least he won 4 Stanley Cups (not to mention the game winner for Cup #1).

CBC coverage is so much better than Rogers. The picture, lighting, and camera angles for the Red Wings / Flames game are perfect. Some other outlets that cover NHL should follow CBC's example of how to produce hockey tv coverage.

Couldn't agree more.

CBC has it all except the best theme song. That would belong to TSN now.

incidentally...TSN is a very close second in all the other categories as well.

Did they buy the rights to the old HNIC theme? It was too bad that HNIC had to lose the original song.

not a leafs fan, but afaik the leafs don't retire numbers - they only honor them. clark is well deserving of that.

I wasn't sure about the Avs. The Kings have quietly played a good defensive game allowing the league's fewest SOG.

Detroit is a over machine and I shouldn't even question taking them over 3 every game. I did take the game over but I thought Calgary would be the one doing all the scoring.
